I Tested the Steam Controller on PC, Handhelds, iOS, Android & Google TV Steam Link Apps

Hey everyone! I wanted to contribute yet another review on the new Steam Controller. I was lucky enough to be part of the first batch of orders.

I know plenty of other YouTubers have done various unboxing & in-depth reviews. But I wanted to focus mines on PC Handhelds, iOS/Android/Smart TV implementations of Steam Link app and some comparisons to other controllers I own.

In summary, the controller when paired with:

  • Living Room PC works flawlessly with Puck/BT
  • Steam Deck works great with BT
  • Windows handhelds like ROG Xbox Ally X works great with BT
  • iOS Steam Link app works pretty well with BT
  • Android Steam Link app was hot garbage
  • Google TV Steam Link was also hot garbage

UPDATE: Once I updated my Android Steam Link to 1.3.28+ build, it worked as expected!

I'm happy to answer any questions on it! Would love any tips or tricks as well.
