X870E Carbon Wi-Fi AMD EXPO
Hi,
As a long-time gaming laptop user, I recently built a system out of a lust for more power and better performance.
CPU: R9 9950X
MB: MSI MPG X870E Carbon Wi-Fi (BIOS: 1A50)
RAM: Lexar Ares 6400 MHz CL30 32GB (2x16)
According to ZenTimings, my system is currently running at 5600MHz CL46. I’m aware that these settings might be stable but suboptimal, but since the system is new, I’m worried that enabling something like EXPO might mess things up (I haven’t touched the BIOS in about 10 years). Some people have also said that EXPO might not be sufficient and that manual timing adjustments might be necessary.
Do you think I should use EXPO? I’d really appreciate it if anyone who’s used it before could share their experiences—maybe I just need a little courage.
