MAG 274QP QD-OLED X24 blue/cloudy stains

I bought this MAG 274QP QD-OLED X24 27'' monitor a week ago, I've only used the msi microfibre cloth included with the monitor and destiled water to clean it very nicely and all. Haven't touched the screen or bumped it into anything.

It's started showing these stains and smudges, and it won't be fixed cleaning with water and cloth. It's not very noticeable tbh, especially if the monitor is on, and it's only visible at a certain angle. But I've had it for a week so im a bit concerned.

Technical support told me to send it to get it checked but it will take over 2 weeks and can't really afford so long without a monitor.

I read it could be oil (but I haven't been touching it) and msi confirmed i could use 70% ethanol. Has anyone tried that? Are there single use wipes that are good for qd-oleds? I read the cloth itself could be accumulating some oil from hands and stuff so single use is the only thing i can think of.

Does this look like it's dirty or is the screen itself damaged? Should i just use 70% ethanol? Should i give it back and buy something else? maybe a woled?

Thanks!

Finally upgraded a 25 yo case. MAG 100R... Its so cute i can't stop looking at it. CPU temps dropped by 15C!!!

OMG I CAN'T GET OVER HOW COOL THIS IS. After having a 25year old case that weighs a ton to have good airflow and cool lights (i like the cool blue one), and my CPU temps dropped by 15C. AMAZING. Was a C*** to assemble due to my skills and my bad PSU but im so happy now! CUTE<3

system is like weird, cause i upgrade stuff as i go, but duck RAM-pocalypse, had to go for AM4 build. its budget build.

  • Ryzen 5500 (OC to 4400mhz) - undervolt and oc
  • DDR 4 3600 corsair 8x2 gb
  • gigabyte B550M DS3H R2 (sorry MSI, the prices were better for this)
  • RX 580 4GB (mining edition??? - i just found out yesterday, but works great undervolt and oc)

BIOS Update stuck on B550M PRO-VDH WIFI motherboard

I'm pretty new to building computers so I might have just done something wrong and I'm not sure what. I was flashing a BIOS update with a USB and the light that blinks indicating it has just been blinking for the better part of 2 hours now. I couldn't actually get it into the BIOS on a monitor for some reason, and my brother who was helping me said it probably needed a BIOS update since I'm using a Ryzen 7 5800XT and the motherboard is only 3rd gen ready. If it helps, the RGB on everything is on and the fans are spinning. The CPU light on the LEDs that are for the POST test is on as well.

Specs:
Ryzen 7 5800XT
AMD Radeon RX 6600
32 GB DDR4 3200MHz
B550M PRO-VDH WIFI motherboard
Some random 240GB SATA SSD that works
750W power supply (MAG A750GL)

The reason I'm asking here is because I heard that stopping a BIOS update is kind of dangerous and I don't want to brick this motherboard. I want to know what I should do because I'm using this old 2GB Lexar flash drive from probably 2010 to flash the BIOS onto the motherboard. I have a feeling it doesn't like that drive, and I was gonna try with a 64 GB flash drive I got from Microcenter, but I have some other old flash drives that might work too.

UPDATE: I just turned off the power supply and went with it. I have a 32GB partition on the 64GB drive, and I put the proper most recent version of the BIOS on there (Version: 7C95v2O). Renamed it "MSI.ROM." When I plugged it in, the LED on the USB stick flashed for maybe 1 second. The LED on the USB stick seems to appear whenever you read and write something, so it must have read it for like a second before falling into some sort of infinite loop. I assume it didn't like how I have my drive, but I really don't have anything better. What are some other options? I'm pretty lost so anything is appreciated.

Came home to my 3 year old PC not outputting an image.

Came home and all the lights on my PC are lit up, fans running, peripheral lights are on, but no display output. Rebooting the PC I can see that the POST mobo light stays solid green. Motherboard is an MSI Z690i. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve tried getting to the bios screen with no luck either.

Unable to update BIOS with B550 A-PRO

I have attempted to update my BIOS multiple times with different BIOS version. I have three 8GB 2.0 USB sticks, formatted to FAT32 and partitioned to MBR. My current BIOS build is from 2020. I have downloaded five separate version ranging from 2021-2025 on the official MSI website and each time I M-flash, the USB is detected, but the files are no found.

I have also tried to the flash bios button, naming each MSI.ROM separately on different tries. When I do, the BIOS led will blink red a few times, the fans starts, and immediately the led remains red seeming to be either stuck or failed to continue.

I'm not sure what else to do and am stuck. All of this is trying to get TPM 2.0 enabled.

Let me know if there is anything else I can provide to help further troubleshoot. Thank you.

12vhpwr cables. A850gl pcie5

I don’t have original cables for the PSU. I was wondering if all 12vhpwr to 12vhpwr cables (16pin to 16pin) work with all PSUs with the same outputs. If so, could I get that cable and adapter to plug into 2x6+2 input of 9070xt GPU?

BIOS Flash light flashes for 7-8 times and turns off trying to update.

I Have a 32gb USB 2.0 Formatted to FAT32, and I renamed the update file to MSI.ROM. what could be the issue then? I have a B550M PRO-VDH WIFI motherboard.

I just got an RTX3080 10GB (LenovoOEM) MS-V389ver6.2

Is it possible to enable ReSizeBar in the BIOS? My VBIOS is 94.02.42.00.8A, CSM is disabled, and Above4GDecoding is enabled. The OS is GPT, and I tried reinstalling the OS. If you know better, please let me know! It is disabled in the NVIDIA Control Panel and GPU-Z.

Question about daisy chain fans

I own a MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI and a friend is doing an upgrade.

So he bought the same motherboard, along a new case and fans. He wants me build it.

I use always use fan hubs, but my friend didn't want to buy one.

He just bought some random fans... they can daisy chain, the thing is, he has 5 fans and they are going to be all over the case.

I thinking one in the back and one in the upper part as exhaust fans. One on the bottom of the GPU and 2 on the sides to bring air in.

Can I link them all together, even with them being all over the case... will the cables be long enough for that?

I can put the ARGB cables straight into one single ARGB connector, right?

But what about the 3 pin PWM connectors? I am guessing I shouldn't be putting all 5 fans into only one, right? So the ARGB cables will go to one of the ARGB connectors, but the 3 PIN cables will go to different connects... Will the cables be long enough for that?

Cannot exit bios

I was having issues with graphics card compatibility after updating. I tried to rollback to previous ones and that also didn't work. Saw someone suggest a bios update.

Well now I cannot exit bios but I can't figure out why.
