Duckweed discolored
Been trying to grow some duckweed and water meal. But the watermeal's new and it doesn't show too much of a bad growth but it doesn't seem to be growing. So I'm not certain what's wrong. The duckweed is slowly getting more and more pale leaves so something's wrong there and I think maybe I put too much of the liquid all-purpose plant food of the miracle-gro brand as now there's a bunch of white stuff all over the place. Not certain what that is. I think maybe it's what they call an algae bloom but there's like zero way for me to find out cuz anytime you look up algae bloom you just get rivers and lakes.
I have a heater in one of them as experimental. I don't know, it doesn't seem to be helping though. And air stones in all of them. And my instructions for the watermeal aka Wolffia Globosa Said to lower the light level to pretty low for the first few weeks so I lowered my light things to their lowest setting and the lux app says it's about 300 lux.
They are slowly losing water though. Maybe I should add water. I don't know. For the Wolffia globosa, I only added about two teaspoons of the miracle grow which didn't bloom or fill with white dust stuff. So maybe that's better.
Also, should I do anything special to the water before adding new water to it?
