As stated in the title, I have a female coworker that let slip that she doesn't have a Bachelor's, just an Associates. She's been here for years! At least 25 I think. Maybe longer as I think she's in her late 50's. I didn't follow up because I think she realized she'd slipped and I didn't want to make a deal. She's a senior manager and a good one in my opinion at a mid-sized corporation.

No idea if the company would care at this point and I have no idea why she never pursued it but given the state of our company, there's a good chance that we could all get laid off in the next year. I wonder how much this could hold her back at this stage. The market sounds very bad right now. Maybe she could retire. Don't know.

No question. It was just surprising.
