For the past year, the Smart Assist feature has completely divided the community into two camps: REMOVE IT vs USE IT.

REMOVE IT

A lot of players feel it’s ridiculous to face AI assistance in PvP matches, especially when there’s already a separate VS AI mode in the game.
Another major complaint is how some free or limited cards can outperform expensive META/high-rated cards when Smart Assist is enabled — El Hadji Diouf is one example many players bring up.

USE IT

On the other hand, some players defend the feature because:

• not everyone has a stable connection,
• some players are far from servers and deal with delay/lag,
• others simply struggle with advanced mechanics like spinning or skill moves,
• and for newer or casual players, it helps reduce the massive skill gap.

So their mindset is basically:
“If the feature exists, why not use it?”
