We kissed but she ignores my texts for days while posting on social media. Am I just a backup plan?
I’m 25M and she’s 24F. We’ve gone on several dates, had some genuinely romantic moments, and right before I left for an internship, we finally kissed. It felt like we were finally getting somewhere.
But here’s where things get confusing and honestly a little painful.
When we’re apart, she’s a completely different person. She takes forever to reply to my messages — usually 10+ hours, and recently she went completely silent for 2 days. During that time, she uploaded a story while my message sat there unread.
What messes with my head is that in person, everything feels so right. She’s warm, engaged, affectionate, and the chemistry is undeniable. But once there’s physical distance, I feel like I drop to the absolute bottom of her priority list. It’s gotten to the point where I feel less like someone she’s interested in and more like a backup plan.
I’m still at my internship, so I can’t just meet her and clear things up in person right now. I guess I’m here to ask:
Am I over reacting? Has anyone been in a similar situation and how did it turn out?
