I have CSPX shares and I want to sell options on it. But it appears the volume is low. So it's difficult to get ordered filled. And if I wanted to close my option, it may be difficult to do so as well.

Then someone suggested sell using other proxies. For eg to sell call options on Voo.

So if my call option on voo were to go deep into the money, I would suffer loss. But at the same time, my CSPX would be deep ITM as well. So that covers the loss.

Does that make sense?

I'm thinking of selling CSPX options. Because I myself hold some CSPX shares. But it doesn't seem a lot of platforms does that. So far, only IBKR does it. Has anyone trade CSPX options? Also why is it their multiple is 10 instead of the normal 100 shares?

Finally what I want to really find out is whether the volume is good. Because I see the spread is quite wide comparatively.
