I live in a very rural area in New Zealand, and the nearest PokéStop is about a 45-minute walk from my house. There are no Gyms nearby either, which makes it pretty difficult to play regularly.
The problem is that there aren’t really any existing landmarks nearby that would qualify for a PokéStop. I’ve looked around and there’s basically nothing like parks, public art, churches, trail markers, or other obvious eligible locations.
Has anyone been in a similar situation and managed to get a PokéStop approved?
Are there any legitimate ways to create something that would qualify for a Wayspot, or am I basically out of luck? I’d really appreciate any advice or ideas from people who have dealt with this before.
