Heard a cuckoo today

First time in the UK today I heard a cuckoo. I come from rural Russia as a kid, moved to Kent when I was 9. Cuckoos are everywhere in the old country, part of the folklore, everyday life and embedded into the culture. First time I heard a cuckoo in England. They are here, little willow, garden and tree warblers! Hide your eggs, dunnocks and pipits, the Eurasian cuckoo is here and it's not messing about.
