Pelicans have successfully bred in St. James park having been introduced and restocked over a few hundred years.
There was a good amount of bewilderment from onlookers yesterday!
A Wren visiting our Bird Bath for the First Time
So happy to see this noisy little bird finally have a dip in the bath 🥰
Just saw the plumpest magpie I've ever seen!
Look at this chubby little fella. He's so round I thought he was a pigeon at first glance.
just a sleepy little owl😴 the first ever wild owl i’ve seen in the UK!
Brown wood pigeon?
Very eastern tip of Kent.
This has me stumped. I’m very familiar with red phase feral pigeons but this one was the size of a wood pigeon and when it flew off it was followed by another regular wood pigeon which makes me 99% sure this is not a feral pigeon. I’ve just never seen one this colour before. Is this possible?
Saw my first hummingbird !
How rare are they in East Yorkshire as I’ve never seen before
Edit : thanks for all the info on this Moth! Hopefully you’ll all agree a lovely sight even if maybe accidentally inappropriate for a bird group 🦋
You are the chosen one 🥰

Day out at Lake Vyrnwy
Swallows flying around along the dam. There were quite a few young about.
They have these hides with the feeders.and there were all sorts up close. Siskins, chaffinches, nuthatches. There were also greenfinches, blue tits, coal tits and probably more.
Please help ID this bird spotted in St James’ Park, London!
There were a few of them, but this is the photo I was able to snap. It was flying between bodies of water.
What bird is this wonderful specimen, and would I be able to see it elsewhere in London?
Thank you!
