We're due a mini heatwave this weekend but with the cloud today you wouldn't know it. Saw a Heron this morning and the fledgling Nuthatch.

Recent shots on an Olympus E.Zuiko 135/3.5 using an OM1-1 (M43)

A friend inherited an old film Olympus OM-1 with a few lenses which has been sitting around gathering dust, he's let me have a play with them, which are the following:

  1. Zeiss Jena 28/2.8 (really, really like this as a ~50 walkaround)
  2. Olympus 50/1.8 (it's ok, bit long on M43)
  3. Olympus 28/3.5 (haven't tried it yet)
  4. Vivitar 28-105/2.8-3.8 (haven't tried it yet)
  5. Olympus E.Zuiko 135/3.5 (silly long on m43 but fun)

I've quite enjoyed using MF on a digital camera and the lenses do have an old world charm on them.

Edit - made it make more sense...

OM1-1, 100-400 ii. Higher ISO testing

Bought a 100-400 last year and barely used it, compared to the 40-150 I'm finding a tough transition. When I first got the camera I'd limited ISO to 10,000 so on this morning's darker, slightly rainy walk I tried upping the ISO to 12,800 and 16,000 to see what happened.

Bit noisier than I'd prefer but I need to stop pixel peeping as it made the whole system usable, and I've bought DXO Pureraw so may as well use it!
