I found it pretty hard to decide, since a lot of the POV chapters are really good. But one that really stuck with me was Angelica in SSC2. She’s pretty much part of the first generation of RM’s retainers, but aside from being physically strong and mentally weak, she remains completely underdeveloped. That’s fine in itself, since her character works well for comedy and not really need more depth to it. But that made her POV chapter all the better.

Seeing how she thinks and processes information, how much she actually understands, and how self-aware she is about her own mental capacity. That gave her character a completely different dimension. Plus, we finally get to see more of her personality and worldview.

This SS also reminded me of how much RM’s limited perspective affects the portrayal of the characters. She takes everything that isn’t related to books at face value and doesn’t even consider digging deeper to learn more. It follows, in my view, that many characters we’ve met in the main series through RM’s POV might actually be completely different people than they’re portrayed (another example would be Professor Rauffen).
