What's next in the sequence?

Got weeds coming through the cracks of the drive. Thinking of making a rock salt solution to kill them off, get on my hands and knees to remove and then scrub out with hard brush. After that getting some sand between the cracks, but does the no grow sand make any difference to sharp sand or is it just marketing? Is it worth getting Sika down or is the gab between the gaps too little for it to brush in?
