What's the most frustrating thing a captain can do?

There is nothing worse than watching a team member clearly have the correct answer, explain it perfectly to the captain, and then the captain just completely ignores them and says something else entirely

Was so nice to meet all the nerds that came down. Both those returning and new faces.Everyone said they had a great time and the quiz weren't too bad either so that's brilliant! So if you're reading this then thanks a lot from myself and the bar staff, who loved all of you! Hopefully see you all next month!

If you fancy coming sometime, the details are in the final picture. Next quiz is on JUNE 9TH! I had walk-ins and feel free to do so but it's much better for me if you book a spot at onlycocknect@gmail.com (make sure you put cocknect, not connect as others did ha). Be great if you could make it down!

(The drinking ale and eating eggs bit on the poster is because the pub is know for its selection of cask ales and pickled eggs… You might remember a team called the ‘Taverners’ on the show, with one member being the fastest pickled egg eater in England… well that record was set at this pub ha. Oh and it's just been voted the best pub in East London too!)

Connecting Wall Solvability and Thoughts

Hello! For my boyfriend's birthday every year, I design an OnlyConnect game for him and his friends. I am currently working on a Connecting Wall and wanted to see if the wall was even solvable and if anyone had any thoughts to improve it in any way.

Which category type on Only Connect do you find genuinely hardest and which one do you secretly feel you are better at than average?

The sequences, the connections, the missing vowels, the wall. Everyone has a strength and a blind spot. What is yours and is there a specific subject area where you know you are going to be useless before the clues even finish appearing?

Victoria has let me down!!!

Well, only a little bit on have I got news for you tonight she said seagull was number 30 on a list….. and I’m going to be a pedant here…. But seagulls, like koala “bears” don’t exist, they are herring gulls or they are lesser black backed gulls or a variety of other types of gulls.

Koala are marsupials not bears…..

I’m done that’s for my vent!

Got bored waiting for the next OC series so made my favourite round into a web game

There's only so long I can go without Victoria's dry humour and the fun team names so I have been working on this to keep me busy:

Any and all feedback welcome! I tried to make it easy to use, smooth UX, and satisfying to play. I'm a firm believer that a hard round should be really hard, so a 12/12 is a real accomplishment.

It never gets easier. My brain does not work at the speed required. I can see the letters. I know there is a word there somewhere. And then the team buzzes in immediately with the correct answer and I am still trying to parse the first cluster. Every single week. Has anyone actually got meaningfully better at this through dedicated watching or is the speed just something you either have or you do not.
