An honest tank review...
I’m not normally one to do this, but I think it deserves recognition. I rarely drop my phone. I’d been using the ghost case for a couple of years now but really liked the look of the tank and went for it. Then I travelled to Germany for their carnival season. I landed and had several beers on the train. When I got to my destination, I took out my phone to call my wife, however the beers had taken their toll. When taking my phone out of my pocket I managed to throw it about 4 feet in front of me… On cobblestone… And it was raining… However, the phone appeared fine. Somehow, even my screen protector survived the cobblestone flight and landing.
A few days later was the main event. We started drinking around 8 that morning. Beers right off and a few shots in between. Somewhere around 3 p.m. my phone took another flight, and then a returning one sometime later. I dropped my phone several times that day. And those are the ones I remember.
The next morning, I woke up and my phone looked wrecked. The screen protector broken in multiple places. I was sure the screen itself was cracked, and almost certain the phone had to be dented. It looked worse than my iphone 6 did that night after the casino in 2014.
After getting home from the hospital (I was fine) and several glasses of water and a recovery beer, it was time to face the truth. How bad was my phone. I took the tank off, then the screen protector, and… It was fine. Not a single dent or crack. No scuffs… nothing. It looked new.
As much as I hate leaving reviews… I stand by the tank, I've personally witnessed the abuse it can take. iPhone 17 pm. Blue.
