Does this look like a hairline crack (chromoly steel bike fork)
Brand new unsused fork, does this look like a hairline crack? If unsure any ideas of how to tell if it is/repair it?

Can I push the clearance on this chainring somehow
51t chainring is too big for my steamroller, can I use a slightly longer BB to gain some clearance without f'ing up the chainline or are there bb or spindle spacers i can use?
