Is it possible to realistically take Amtrak to any National Park?

We were looking at going to East Glacier where there is a lodge, but then someone said there are no rental cars and no shuttles from the lodge into the park.

I keep trying to plan trips, and end up with the same issues. Can't be sure of exact arrival time. If there is a lodge or hotel near the station, there is no rental car location.

I remember reading there are 3 train stations in New River Gorge, and nothing near any of them.

Any thoughts?

What are the latest thoughts on Viking Pureglide Pro pans?

A friend has a couple of these and I was impressed how "nonstock" they were. They were heavy and solid too. He said he's had them for 4 months, so they are clearly better than the scam Misen nonstick pans that are not nonstick after a week. There are only couple reviews online, and they are mostly positive.

I looked online and they mostly sold out. I am not sure if that is due to demand or issues making them.

I am thinking of giving my All-Clad set to my daughter, and possibly replacing them with these. My guess is that they should last a lifetime, but I wanted to see what others owners have to say.

Replacing gas stove can help asthmatics as much as some drugs, US experts find | Asthma

I had a gas stove in my first house and developed asthma. Might have been a coincidence, but since switching to induction, my asthma mostly went away.

People worry about type of cookware for health but do not realize how they heat that cookware has a much greater impact on health.

Anyway, I am big proponent for induction with iron/steel based cookware.

Thoughts on our "too early to review" KitchenAid KF2

Thoughts on our "too early to review" KitchenAid KF2

Great size. Its only 7 1/2 inches wide and frees up a little space on our counter. It is deep and the water reservoir is on the back, but it has wheels and slides out enough to pour water into to refill.

Very simple and straight forward interface. Espresso, coffee, iced coffee. Those are the choices. And for us, all we want. There is an option for size, 1 pour or 2. And an option for strength 1, 2 or 3. And then a start button. Limiting, but easy. I did learn that through pushing multiple buttons at the same time and following the manual, options can be tweaked. That can get confusing, but is something I think I'd rarely do. There is also a way to change the grind size (1-5) but we'll likely leave that on the factory setting.

Quick. I was surprised how fast it is. Its makes coffee a lot faster than my wife's old machine.

Uses a good amount of coffee. The "pucks" it discards are a good size.

Uses a lot of water. I think it cleans itself a lot because the drip tray filled up fast (there is a light that comes on when it is full).

Using pre-ground coffee is very easy, but has 1 strange quirk. When you open the section to add pre-ground coffee it automatically goes into pre ground mode with an indicator light lighting up (at first we could not figure out how to get to that mode, well, there are no buttons, you just open the lid for it). But after that is done, there is no option to change size. And my wife likes to make large coffees. So I think we need to select the 2x mode before adding coffee grounds. Also, we always forget which buttons to press to get out of that mode. But it does leave the mode either when done, or if goes untouched for about 60 seconds, so again very easy.

So far everyone has liked the quality. The first espresso seemed weak, but that was made on the 1 setting for strength. 2 is better.

Plastic. Lots of plastic om the outside. I've read the grinder and other parts are the same or similar to the KF8, but I cannot verify that.

When shopping my son had 1 request. Don't get one with touchscreen that looks like what you find at a gas station. He said he is happy with this minimalist real buttons interface.

We needed something that makes Espresso, Coffee, and Iced Coffee. This does all 3. As for milk drinks we are going to try those later. I don't think anyone minds doing that part manually. We'll see. We have an milk frother that everyone is familiar with. And I think tomorrow we'll try steaming milk with the wand.

So overall, mostly positive, but time will tell. I'd love to see other people's thoughts on the KF2, KF3, or KF4.

The Reds are a bad team right now. If they trade away top talent before the trade deadline, won't they be worse?

Sometimes the Reds get lucky with young talent, but they always trade away many of their better players, so how can the team improve?

Has anyone here bought a KitchenAid KF2 yet? It looks like a new model and it has very few reviews.

I don't know if I can trust the few reviews for this new model. It look like it fits my needs though. Espresso and "regular" coffee with the touch of a button. I am not as interested in frothing milk, so basic functionality is fine.

What would you say the over opinion of the KitchenAid line is? Good, bad, long lasting, short life span?

Reds on a roll, no losses in last 4 days, and now only 6 games back (of 2nd last place)

All I asked was that they stay competitive until the end of July. April seems like so long ago. I wish it was still the end of April. One of my top wishes in life is that the Reds are sold do a competent owner.

OK, I am done rambling. Sorry.

Watching the Reds is like playing the lottery.

Usually they lose, but that one time they win, its great.

When a team wins all the time each win isn't very special. But with the Reds every win is extra special.

These are the things I tell myself as a Reds fans to get through the season.

Does anyone honestly believe the algae and disintegrating paint in the reflecting pool were caused by vandals, and not by the dark color and hydrogen peroxide?

Gentle reminder. Trump in May 2026: "You couldn't, if you had a knife—I don't want to give anybody ideas—if you had a knife, you can't even cut it. It's so strong, so powerful. It's like powerful rubber"

Anyone familiar with the Moog Muse Launch Expansion Pack?

  • The synth comes with the Muse Factory Collection Pack.
  • They then released a Muse Launch Expansion Pack.
  • And now they have a Muse - MemoryMoog pack of Patches.

I can't find any demonstration of the Muse Launch Expansion Pack. Is it worth trying out?

The team batting average is .218.

In 1983 the Reds went 74-88. 14 games below .500. Finishing in last place 17 games back.
The team's worst starting batter was an aging Dave Concepción .233.

My, how baseball has changed.

We all agree its an impeachable offense. It was one of the reasons Nixon resigned.

And I get that all throughout Biden's Presidency conservatives said Biden should be impeached for ordering the DOJ to investigate his opponents even though their was no "smoking gun" or direct evidence. (Republicans did start investigations, but nothing ever came of them)

Now we have Trump ordering the DOJ to investigate his opponents and even firing people who just so happened to be saying there was no valid reason to charge them. We have public statements and "smoking gun" evidence.

So why should Trump not be immediately impeached? And for the record I am 100% investigating both Trump and Biden (again for Biden) at the same time for this offense.

Are for investigating both equally and fairly? Do you think that if Trump did order the DOJ he should be impeached?
