Phasmida of sorts

Central New Mexico, in piñon/juniper woodlands at 6500 feet. Any idea on species or why it is pink? I saw one earlier this year but it was grassy green. Do they change color in the fall or before they die?

are these honey mushrooms? eastern minnesota, united states

(repost because no one replied to my original one, and i want to confirm their edibility by dinner)

i’m pretty sure these are a species of honey mushroom in the genus Armillaria, and just want someone to double check before i cook them.

first 3 photos were taken in my garden, and the last 2 are of my yard. we have had mild temperatures (55 to 75 degrees fahrenheit) and some light rain prior to this discovery.

it’s the food of the future!

i was inspired by mr sausage to make a pop rocks chocolate chip waffle. the taste is pretty good, but the rocks in the batter lost their pop so i had to top it with more.

i give it about a 3.5/5, probably would’ve been better with whipped cream instead of butter, which could have elevated it to a 4/5. definitely would recommend giving it a try!
