Hi everyone,
I had been using X-Plane 11 for several years now, and had so much joy using it, especially with the enhancements enabled by add-ons such as sceneries. The Vstate collection’s Florida is an example, and it is quite an amazing scenery. I used it as a “daily-driver” region for flying sessions.
Consequently, I wanted a more tastes of those free sceneries originally developed by VerticalSim and unfortunately, to my discovery, the links for those sceneries had been disappeared from online as if they weren’t existing in the first place.
Interestingly, as I searched around online, it seems that the developer behind those free scenery add-ons had pulled the plug due to unsustainable expenses of storing and distributing those sceneries, with Google Drive links and the link to the developer’s website being deleted/removed.
However, the developer claimed that it is allowed for community to continue picking up the job and distribute those sceneries at their own expense. Source
Which has brought me here to this subreddit; while hoping not to violate this subreddit’s rules regarding distribution of any forms (I am uncertain to whether such a request would violate the rule or not , given that sceneries were distributed free of charge), I wonder if anyone does happen to have any sceneries (country or states adjacent to the United States) to share/distribute?
Hi everyone,
I am not sure if this is the correct subreddit to post this, but since it is aligned with the topic I am interested in, I figured this could be it.
As the title says, I want to collect a list of detailed documentation focused on the general concept behind the simulation of the flight model, as well as everything associated with the simulation.
As a noob, I don’t exactly know what I am asking for, but I am looking for information on how the realm of flight simulation works generally, from a technical perspective, from graphical rendering to the flight-model simulating engine.
