Twins applied for Teen account, 1 got rejected?
We’ve had an account with Starling pretty much since they launched. 2 personal ones, a joint and a business account. No trouble except in the last week. Our twin 16 year olds attempted to open up a teen account, for all intense purposes the details on the application were identical except the name and the ID of course. To our surprise, 1 was accepted (the first) but when child number 2 clicked submit he was instantly declined. Support will not seem to understand what I’m trying to tell them, just keep getting a boiler plate response. I’m actually fuming. My question is, what’s going on, what would cause this and why would they reject a Teen account anyway, there’s no credit involved? I just cannot understand the decision. Should I go to ombudsman and claim they’re being unfair toward one of the twins?
