Adjustable dumbbells for garage gym
I finally am going to complete my home gym and the last step is dumbbells. I’ve been looking around at possibly getting traditional but space wise in my garage it just doesn’t make sense. I’ve owned a pair of power blocks in the past and hate how they feel boxing my hand in. My wife also is going to start lifting so she will want a more traditional feel to the dumbbell.
I’ve looked at the bowflex ones (like I’m sure everyone here has) as well as nuobell and the QuickDraw set. Just wanted real reviews for you all as to the best set, as I likely will be spending a good amount on them and want a set that will last a while. It also needs to be semi resistant to light drops as my wife hasn’t done a ton of lifting in the past.
I have coworkers that swear nuobell is the best and I’ve seen videos but if I’m going to spend 1,000$ or so on a set I want to be sure.
Thanks for your input!
Just for information I have a letter from my doctor that allows me to spend my FSA dollars on exercise equipment so I’m got some leeway.
