Staying at South Point, any tips/issues/etc?

I’m going to an event in November and I’m considering staying at South Point Hotel. I haven’t seen much in terms of downsides about the hotel other than the lobby being kind of smoky and the elevators taking a while. Anything else I should know about in terms of problems or gripes? I’m going to be at the event pretty much all day every day, but I arrive in the morning the day before it starts and might extend my trip an extra day, so I’ll have time to check out the rest of the hotel.

I’m not much for gambling and can’t drink. I do want to get lunch at Steak and Shake since I haven’t been to one in over a decade and they don’t have them where I live.
