According to the MMDR Amendment Bill, 2026, the Union government will steal the rights to make rules, manage, and collect taxes from the state government regarding mines and minerals. This bill also passed in the parliament within 4 minutes without any discussions and heavy opposition from the opposition parties.

And due to this bill, Odisha govt's annual revenue might decrease by 45000 to 50000 crores. India is a union of states, but BJP is making sure to reduce the power of the states.

Remember how they gave 10000 in Bihar similarly. At this point they don't even need to work , just redistribute all the public tax money among free loaders.
