It's being said, but I'm not a long term resident here, so those who are should know. Back in Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), heavy lightning was the norm even four decades ago. It's a generally rocky area where the natural forest cover has been largely decimated for the sake of heavy industry, so the land radiates far more heat than its area would suggest.

This is the reason why air currents carry the micro droplets up repeatedly, they rise, gather more moisture and come down, only to be thrown up again till the drops are too heavy. This causes them to gather high charge due to the friction as they rise and fall, and creates lightning. The process is shown in Pic 3.

I came across a statistic in some Bengali channel whose name I can't recall, that extended Kolkata is 400 Km^2 but it radiates the equivalent of 32,000 Km^2. I can't vouch for the accuracy of this, but if true it's no wonder there's lightning here. Nor does it seem very recent. Pic 1 is from a 2021 news report which cites 260 lightning deaths here from Apr to Aug.

Pic 2 is the global lightning map, where naturally the equatorial zone in Africa is the single biggest lightning zone. The map either misses small areas such as individual cities or it doesn't have enough resolution to represent them.

এই দেশে শুধু হিন্দু ছেলের সাথে মুসলিম মেয়ের ছবি থাকলে এরা আমাদের হ ত্যা যোগ্য করে তুলে। কমেন্ট সেকশনে হিন্দুদের আইডি ম্যানশন করে দেয়। তারপর ইনবক্সে ডেথ থ্রেট, রেইপ থ্রেট বাদ দিলাম। বুঝে নেন ইসলাম যখন মেজোরিটি হয় তাইলে কীভাবে তাদের মেয়েদের গেইটকিপ করে, কীভাবে তাদের মেয়েদের প্রিজার্ভ করে। কিন্ত ভারতে দেখেন দেদারসে বুক ফুলিয়ে হিন্দু মেয়ে মুসলিম ছেলের রিলেশন প্রচার করে সেকুলারিজম প্রিচ করা হয়, কিন্ত কোনদিন কোন সেকুলার দাবী করা মুসলিমকে এই কাজ করতে দেখবেন না। আপনাদের সেইখানে ব্রাম্মন মেয়েকে বিয়ে করে মুসলিম বানিয়ে ফেলে। আমার কাজিন কে শুধু মুসলিম মেয়ের সাথে ছবি থাকার কারনে মুসলিমরা এই রকম পোস্ট করে তার জীবন অতিষ্ঠ করে ফেলছে। তাকে দুইবার হ ত্যা চেস্টা করা হয়, পরে আমার মামা মামী তাকে দেশের বাইরে পড়তে পাঠায় দেয়। এইভাবে তারা আমাদের দেশ ত্যাগ করায়। এরপর মডারেট মুসলিম যা ইসলামের বি টিম নামে পরিচিত , তারা এসে সাফায় গাওয়া শুরু করে, এসে বলবে আমার ইসলাম এমন না ইসলাম শান্তির ধর্ম। ইহুদি রা একটা কথা বলে অন্যান্য ধর্মের সর্বোচ্চ ডানপন্থা বা কনজারভেটিজম যেইখানে শেষ হয়, ইসলামের এভারেজ ডানপন্থা তার আরো ২০০ কি.মি. দূর থেকে শুরু হয়। এইজন্য বলি বিজেপি এনাফ ডানপন্থী দল না।
