Women needs safety
If they can behave this way toward women on camera, it raises serious concerns about how they may treat the women in their own homes. It’s deeply concerning and alarming.
Imagine the amount of brainwashing required to make someone who fought for the right to wear shorts at a temple end up like this.
Riddhi Jadhav once rebelled against Hindu temple dress codes and urged girls to enter in shorts.
After marrying Big Boss contestant Adnan Sheikh, she steps out covered from head to toe in Burkha.
The rebellion has clearly come full circle.
Uttar Pradesh ATS reportedly arrests man over Vande Bharat stone-pelting; ₹300 payment alleged
The UP ATS has reportedly arrested Mohammad Hussain alias Shahid in connection with a stone pelting incident targeting the Vande Bharat Express. Reports allege that ₹300 was paid for the act.
The case comes amid several recent stone-pelting incidents involving trains in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
- On August 23, a Patna–Gomti Nagar Vande Bharat window was reportedly damaged near Bihta, leading to an RPF case under the Railways Act.
- On August 30, another Vande Bharat was targeted near Kanpur, with CCTV footage reportedly helping investigators identify a suspect.
- According to Railways data, 1,698 stone-pelting cases involving trains were registered nationwide between July and December 2025.
What do you think is driving the increase in these incidents, and what measures could help prevent them?
Indian Politicians: Truly the Gems of Hypocrisy
JNU sexual harassment allegations against a Congress MP , where is the outrage?
Serious sexual harassment allegations have been made by multiple JNU students against Congress MP and JNU professor Angomcha Bimol Akoijam.
According to reports, 11 students have approached JNU’s Internal Complaints Committee, alleging inappropriate conduct and sexually suggestive remarks, among other allegations. The ICC has reportedly initiated proceedings and is examining the complaints.
Akoijam is both a sitting Lok Sabha MP and a professor at JNU, which makes the matter particularly significant from a public-interest perspective.
Yet the question is: where is the wider outrage and discussion?
If students are making serious allegations of sexual harassment against a professor, shouldn't there be consistent public concern about the allegations being properly investigated, regardless of the accused person's political affiliation?
At the same time, allegations are not findings of guilt. The complaints should be investigated fairly, and the facts established through the appropriate process.
But the standard should be the same for everyone.
Why does this case seem to have generated so much less public attention than other sexual-harassment cases involving politically connected or prominent figures?
IS A WOMAN’S LIFE WORTH LESS THAN “FAMILY HONOUR”?
Ahmedabad: 22-year-old Sofia Farooq was allegedly killed by the very people who were supposed to protect her.
According to police, Sofia’s father Mohammed Farooq Nawabkhan and brother Mohammed Habil Farooq allegedly murdered her after a video of Sofia with a male friend went viral. Police allege that the family was concerned about their “honour.”
On August 12, police say Sofia was taken to an isolated area, where her brother allegedly attacked her with an iron hammer while her father allegedly assisted him. They then allegedly staged the scene to look like a road accident.
Sofia, a hospital receptionist, died from her injuries on August 13.
Both men have been arrested and booked for murder. The allegations will be decided by the courts.
But one thing should never be controversial:
A woman’s choices do not make her family dishonoured.
A woman’s friendships do not justify violence.
A woman’s life is worth more than society’s obsession with “honour.”
Sofia Farooq deserved to live.
She deserved freedom.
She deserved safety.
She deserved to come home alive.
Stop calling violence “honour.” Call it what it is: violence against women.

A 14-year-old girl should have been safe. What is happening to us?
A deeply disturbing incident has reportedly taken place in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, involving a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted while dressed as Radha for Janmashtami.
According to reports, police arrested three suspects in connection with the case: Sameer, Waleen, and Salman. These are alleged accused, not people who have been convicted, and the investigation/court process should establish what happened.
But regardless of the identities involved, the bigger question is painfully simple: how has our society reached a point where a child cannot even go to a temple and expect to come home safely?
If the allegations are proven, the perpetrators deserve the strongest punishment permitted by law. At the same time, we need better protection for children, faster investigations, competent policing, and a justice system where victims aren't left waiting for years.
A country isn't doomed because one horrific crime happened. We're doomed only if we become numb to crimes against children and stop demanding justice.
Teen Awareness: Debt Never Justifies Abuse
A disturbing case in Bengaluru is a reminder that no debt gives anyone the right to abuse, threaten or blackmail someone.
Police allege that Nazath, Reshma Banu and her husband Suhail were involved in abducting and assaulting a 30-year-old woman over a money dispute. According to reports, the woman was allegedly lured to a house, forcibly taken to another location, confined and threatened with the circulation of a private video if she couldn't repay the money. Her mother reported her missing, after which police traced and rescued her.
The three have been arrested, while the investigation continues and other suspects, including Saif, have also been named in the case.
For teens: if anyone threatens to leak your private photos/videos, don't meet them alone, don't send more content, save the evidence, and tell a trusted adult or the police.
Don't let shame or fear keep you silent. Asking for help is not weakness.
