This happened during my first year of college. Before college, I was a very nerdy type of student. I was never in a relationship and never really involved in any romantic stuff my only focus was studies, studies, and more studies.

During college, I was living in a PG. One day, two of my friends came to meet me, and the three of us took some selfies together. I wanted to put one of them on my WhatsApp status because it was my first time having my own phone, and I wanted to look a little “cool” among my college friends.

I was thinking of a unique caption for a few minutes, and suddenly the word “threesome” came to my mind. I remembered seeing that word somewhere before, but I had completely forgotten. So, I searched on Google to check if it matched the picture of the three of us.

The first meaning I saw was something like “a group of three people,” and I didn’t scroll down to check further meanings. I thought, “Okay, this fits perfectly!” and proudly uploaded the selfie with the caption “Threesome” 😭😂

Around 54 people viewed it, and two of them replied asking, “Do you even know the meaning of this?”

Confused, I searched again properly… and that’s when I found out the actual meaning 🥲🥲

I still cringe whenever I remember that moment. My innocent first-year college self had no idea what I had just posted 😂

We need justice for the victim.

My boyfriend told me not to get him real flowers because he doesn’t know how to take care of them, and he feels bad throwing them away.

So I decided to make him a bouquet out of pipe cleaners instead.. Spiderman themed (he loves spiderman♥️)

But I’m feeling a little disappointed with how it turned out. I can see so many rookie mistakes, and I keep thinking I could’ve done better. But then again, this was my first time ever trying this kind of craft, so I guess it’s okay to not be perfect🥲

A 12-year-old girl, a Class 6 student from Suryapur Hat under Dhapdhapi-II Gram Panchayat in Baruipur, South 24 Parganas, went missing on Saturday afternoon (July 4). According to her family, she'd left home saying she was going to buy a birthday gift for a friend at a nearby shop. When she didn't return, the family searched through the night and eventually reported her missing to Baruipur police.

On Sunday morning, her body was recovered from a pond close to her home — reportedly packed inside a sack. Police say she was strangled to death; her family and several local residents further allege she was raped before being killed.

The unrest: News of the discovery set off immediate mob violence in the area. Protesters blocked roads and railway tracks on the Sealdah South section for several hours, set tyres on fire, vandalized vehicles, and clashed with police — several police personnel and journalists were injured in the process. A 26-year-old man, Indrajit Tanti, accused by local residents of involvement in the crime, was attacked by the mob before police could intervene; he was taken to hospital and later declared dead. Police have not confirmed whether he was actually involved.

One suspect, Prabhas Mondal, was arrested Sunday and is being questioned. Police say they're searching for the remaining accused. A 6-member Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by an additional SP, has been formed, and four FIRs have been registered so far — covering the alleged rape and murder, and separately, the lynching.

Political fallout: The case has taken a political turn. TMC alleges heavy police deployment and barricades were placed outside former CM Mamata Banerjee's and party leader Abhishek Banerjee's residences specifically to stop them from visiting the victim's family — TMC leaders have called this a "house arrest" on social media. The BJP state spokesperson has denied this, saying it was routine security given Banerjee's existing Z+ protection cover.

CM Suvendu Adhikari's administration has been in contact with the victim's father, who says he's been assured that those responsible will be arrested and punished. He's publicly demanded the death penalty for the accused. Prohibitory orders under Section 163 BNSS have been imposed in parts of Baruipur, with additional security forces deployed to prevent further unrest.

First day back after holidays and the rain was absolutely relentless.

Most of my classmates did't show up. I still went, and only a handful of us showed up. Attendance was so low that the teachers didn't even bother taking lectures.

So I took the window seat, put on some music, opened LeetCode, and spent the day grinding DSA while watching the rain pour outside.

The rain gave everyone a holiday. It gave me ambience.
