Suppose you’re in your 30s, have a family of 3, own your house with no EMI, and also receive around ₹10,000 per month in rent.

How much money would you need in FDs or other relatively safe investments to comfortably stop working permanently and live off the returns?
Assume monthly expenses are around ₹35–40k today, while also accounting for inflation, medical expenses, child-related costs, emergencies, etc.

What amount would you personally consider enough to stop working permanently and live comfortably in this situation?
