The Unmatched Joy of Discovering a Perfect Series That Somehow Went Completely Under My Radar for 15 Years and Already Has Eight Glorious Seasons Waiting for Me

u/_PantheraxUncia — 16 hours ago

I watched 11 episodes of BoJack Horseman and still haven't gotten hooked.

I made a post here earlier asking whether I should watch BoJack Horseman, and pretty much everyone recommended it, so I started watching.

I'm now 11 episodes into Season 1. I actually love the humor and comedy and have laughed a lot while watching it, but for some reason I still don't feel hooked or that urge to immediately watch the next episode.

Should I continue? Does the show get significantly better/more addictive later on, or if I haven't felt hooked by episode 11, is it probably just not for me?

Fell in absolute love w Operation Safed Sagar and Netflix dropped another banger 😭💅

This looks so fun, fresh and interesting. Lowkey hooked.

Ps. LOVEDDD the documentary of Operation Sindoor or Discovery +

All of these 3 are a must watch for any Indian

They aren't the typical bollywood over glazing India, they were truthful and supported w evidences

anyone seen Black (2005)??????

Thinking of watching this, has Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji in it. heard it's based loosely on Helen Keller's life.

Watched The Rainmaker (1997) .

Underrated Coppola gem. Matt Damon as a rookie lawyer up against a shady insurance company, Danny De Vito stealing every scene as his paralegal buddy. Feels more grounded than most courtroom dramas, no cheesy theatrics. Pacing sags a bit in the middle, but the third act delivers

Dune 3 trailer has to be the greatest trailer I’ve ever come across.

Went to watch Odyssey yesterday and they played the trailer of Dune Part 3 before the film started. those 2 and a half minutes felt unreal. the fremen chants and visuals in imax are breathtaking. this was the best trailer experience ever.

For the first time i was looking forward to a film trailer in an intermission but they didn’t play. more than excited for the villeneuve masterpiece.

Want Movies or Web Series or Documentaries Recommendations

I’m looking for recommendations on Netflix that blend travel/journeying with deeper philosophical themes, existential questions, or self-discovery.

Any language/country of origin is welcome as long as it's on Netflix. What are your absolute must-watches?

Thanks in advance!

Is BoJack Horseman worth starting?

I’m looking for a series that can actually make me think about my life, growth, loneliness, relationships, wasting time, and getting my shit together.

I keep seeing people recommend BoJack Horseman, but I’ve never watched it.

For those who’ve seen it, how is it, and do you think I should start it given the kind of stuff I’m looking for?

I need a series that might actually change me

I'm honestly feel pretty lost right now. I've wasted a lot of time, struggled with motivation, relationships, family stuff, loneliness, and generally feeling like I'm not doing much with my life.

I'm looking for a series that can actually make me think and change the way I look at my life, something about finding yourself, growing up, getting your shit together, dealing with loneliness/failure, and becoming a better person.

I get the Prajakta Koli hate now, but I’m mostly confused by the writing, the character, and why this role exists in the first place.

Watching Operation Safed Sagar on Netflix and, specifically talking about Prajakta’s role, I finally get why people have been bashing her so much. I genuinely don’t understand the point of her character or what they were trying to do with it.

Also, random observation: doesn’t she look significantly more “whitewashed” in her Instagram/photos compared to how she looks in shows like this? Especially in this one, her natural skin tone seems much more visible. No hate towards darker skin whatsoever, but isn’t it a little odd for someone in the public eye to heavily edit/whitewash their photos when the difference is so obvious on screen? Just wondering if this has been discussed already.

PS: This is probably the first show/movie I’ve actually watched with Prajakta in it. I’ve never managed to sit through even one episode of Mismatched , I found it that insufferable. So I’m pretty much a fresher when it comes to her and her work.

"A Brother and 7 Siblings " — absolutely worth it!

If you’re looking for something light, heartwarming, and easy to watch, definitely give this one a chance. I’d happily recommend it.

OMFG cocktail 2 is such a ragebait movieeee

Me and all of my friends are going through terrible breakups and/or bad relationship phases, my god, watched Cocktail 2, I think my brain is officially too evolved and maybe in a sensitive place to not be able to BARE the LAYERS AND LAYERS OF fucked up relationship boundaries breaching in this movie MYY GOODD.

Honestly you don’t even need to know anything to know every single character in that movie is so fucked. They should all breakup and stay single and go for therapy.
