Few questions on my new watch

Few questions on my new watch

Hey guys! I recently got this Titan ceramic fusion watch as a gift. I've been loving this a lot and just had a few questions. I'd love it if y'all could help me out on this.

  1. The instruction manual says that in order to wind the watch minimum 8 rounds must be made. But if I haven't used the watch for 2 days or more it takes a minimum of 20-25ish rounds for it to start working again, is that normal?
  2. I wear this watch while commuting and usually slow down for speed breakers, potholes, and rough patches. Still, it’s impossible to avoid every bump, so the watch occasionally experiences a few sudden jerks. Could that cause any damage to the movement or internal components over time?

Sorry if some the questions are too basic or dumb 😅 it's my first time owning such a timepiece. If there are any other things related to maintenance or such which I should look out for please also let me know. Thanks a lot guys!

Which watch was Ranveer wearing in this scene in Dhurandhar 2?

So I was watching Dhurandhar 2 movie and saw Hamza Ali Mazari wearing this watch. Does anyone know which watch he was wearing in this scene?

Finally bought my first watch - Addiesdive AD2513

So I had been on the lookout for my first watch and I did a lot of research trying to figure out what would make the best first watch. Pretty quickly, I realized I was really into the diver aesthetic. I felt like a diver watch would be the perfect versatile option since you can wear it almost anywhere and it still looks great. Also, I was completely sold on the rotating bezel on diver watches. There is just something really satisfying about it.

While searching online, I kept seeing the Casio MDV107, or the Casio Duro/Marlin Duro, being recommended as one of the best budget diver watches that punches way above its price range. So naturally I started looking into that. I also checked out the Invicta Pro Diver and eventually came across the Addiesdive AD2513.

My budget was around ₹5000 to ₹6000. The problem was that the original Casio Marlin Duro was not available in India and the MDV107 version was selling for around ₹8000, which was stretching my budget a bit too much. Around the same time, I saw the beautiful blue gradient textured dial on the Addiesdive AD2513 and honestly I was obsessed with it. The dial looked gorgeous and the watch itself was cheaper too, so it felt like the obvious choice.

But right when I was about to buy it, the blue version sold out. So I ended up going for the lava red version instead and honestly... it looks even better. It looks absolutely stunning, gorgeous, and really eye catching in person.

I found it in the local Indian warehouse listing for around ₹6300 and I wanted to use a coupon code to bring the price down. A few days earlier I had made a Reddit post asking if anyone had a coupon code and a really kind Redditor shared one with me. I ended up getting 15% off and bought the watch for around ₹5500.

I placed the order on Sunday and the delivery happened just a couple of days later. The shipping was surprisingly fast and everything arrived perfectly fine. The delivery partner was Delhivery and the whole experience was smooth.

When I unboxed the watch for the first time, I was honestly really excited. My first thought was, wow, this thing is smaller than I expected... but heavy. It felt solid immediately. I had imagined it would be slightly bigger because I am a bigger guy with larger wrists, so I thought a larger watch would suit me better and feel more masculine. But once I wore it, the fit was actually really good.

The watch has a really satisfying heft to it. The engravings are well done, the textured gradient dial looks fantastic, and the lume in the dark actually looks really nice too. Overall, I genuinely feel like this was a solid purchase.

For ₹5500, I honestly do not think there are many better deals out there apart from the Casio MDV107 if it were cheaper in India. So I am really happy with this purchase and genuinely proud of this watch.

I also think Addiesdive is making some really impressive watches for the Indian market. I know they only recently launched in India and are even using a Shopify store, but the value for money is honestly crazy. Yes, they are Chinese made watches, but the quality you get for the price is genuinely impressive.

The only real downside of this exact AD2513 model would probably be the mineral glass instead of sapphire crystal. But at this price point, expecting sapphire would be unrealistic anyway, so I really cannot complain.

Another watch from Addiesdive that I would love to add to my collection someday is the AD2053.

Overall, I would probably rate this watch an 8/10.

What do you guys think? Did I make the right choice for my first watch? And what watch should I get next?

I was thinking about getting the Casio AE1200 next. What do you think?

[ DISCUSSION ] Its time to celebrate so building a three watch collection at around 60k

Hey everyone, I’ve recently hit a major life goal that I’ve been working toward for years, and I wanted to celebrate it in a way that feels meaningful and lasting. Instead of buying one expensive watch, I thought it’d be far more special to build a small 3-watch collection that I can actually wear across different moments of life.

My budget is around ₹50k–60k total maybe a bit more, and I’m completely open to pre-owned watches and any brand. I’d love the collection to feel cohesive overall, but still have each piece bring something different to the table. The only hard rule I’ve set for myself is that I don’t want any single watch to take up more than ~60% of the total budget and NO PRX ( its everyone and their dog has one, its a cool design, I do like intigrated bracelets but I dont want one )

Here’s the rough idea:

• A dressy automatic or manual-wind piece with a simple complication — maybe a day/date, big date, moonphase, or open-heart.

• A solid GADA automatic with sapphire and at least 100m WR. Titanium would be amazing if possible. Divers, GMTs, or chronographs are all on the table.

• A fun/casual watch — preferably a solar quartz or digital that adds some personality and doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Right now I’m leaning toward a couple of routes:

  • Picking up a vintage dress watch, or maybe something from Timex or an Indian microbrand for that classic dress watch side,
  • Pairing it with something like the Ajwain Solavaram II, Boderry Voyager Chronograph, DWC Havelock, or wait to see if Spinnaker brings compressor GMTs for the everyday slot,
  • Then rounding things out with a quirky solar quartz or digital piece. maybe metal case casio or maybe even a gshock ? maybe a citizen ? maybe a future funk roller if i can get my hands on it

What a FEELINGGGGG!

My brother owns this Rolex Oyester Perpetual and today in a family function I asked him to show it to me and Boy oohh boyy.

I felt so darn good wearing this timepiece in my hand.

One day for sure I’ll own this. ❤️

Are These Two Timex Watches Basically the Same?

Are these basically the exact same watch with just a slightly different dial/design change, or are they actually completely different watches in terms of build, movement, finishing, quality, case design, etc.?
