My Seiko SNXS79. Some questions..
Hey everyone, this is my Seiko SNXS79 and i absolutely love the watch, but I think it might need a proper service. The rotor does move, but not very freely, and the power reserve feels quite low. Since this is my first older automatic, I wanted to ask a few things before handing it in for servicing. What all should I specifically ask the watchmaker to check? Any common issues with the SNXS79/7S26 movement that I should keep in mind? Also, would you recommend going to an official Seiko service center or a trusted local independent watchmaker? Another thing, I’m thinking of changing the strap setup completely. I’m eyeing an oyster bracelet to give it a more Oyster perpetual style everyday look. Any bracelet recommendations 19mm specific, that fit the SNXS79 well with good end links and overall quality?
