Hey guys, I’m planning to buy a watch around ₹2.5L to celebrate a personal milestone. I’m looking for an automatic watch and would love to know what kind of movement I should realistically expect at this price point.

I currently have Longines and TAG Heuer in mind. Between the two, which would you prefer? I’d really appreciate an unbiased opinion, especially in terms of movement, finishing, brand value and overall watch for the money.

Also, if there are any other watches around this budget that you think I should consider, please suggest them.

I’ll most likely be buying from Ethos, so what kind of discount should I try negotiating for? Is 15–20% realistic, or can you push for more?

My Airtel postpaid number suddenly stopped working completely — no network, calls or SMS. I called 121, but customer care had no idea about the issue and asked me to visit a store.

At the store, I was told it was a “Dedup error,” apparently because multiple numbers were registered under my father’s name. I checked the sanchaar sathi app and there were only 2 numbers registered in his name, including this one.

Since the SIM was in my father’s name, the store asked for his original Aadhaar. I provided it the next day. They initially asked me to wait 2 days, then another week. I waited, but the issue still wasn't resolved.

This started around July. I then had to leave the state for around 1.5 months. After returning, I visited the store again, but they still said the issue was taking time.

After I got frustrated and raised the issue strongly, they finally said they would transfer the number from my father's name to mine. I provided my Aadhaar.

Now they're asking me to pay:

• 2 months of postpaid bills, despite the number being completely unusable during that period.
• ₹300 “new activation charges.”

The number is extremely important because it's linked to my Aadhaar, bank accounts, college and other services, so I couldn't receive any OTPs or SMS during this period.

What should I do?

Should I pay these charges, or should I formally complain/escalate this? Is Airtel allowed to charge me for months when the number wasn't providing any service, and is the ₹300 activation fee legitimate for an ownership transfer?

Has anyone faced this “Dedup error” with Airtel before?

I’ve just achieved a major milestone in my life, and I want to celebrate it by getting myself a new watch.I’m preferably looking for an automatic watch and would love to hear your recommendations in this price range.

At the moment, I’m considering the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time, but I’ve seen quite a few people say that it isn’t worth the ₹57K price tag. What would you guys recommend instead? I’m open to different brands and styles, as long as it feels like a special watch worth buying to commemorate the achievement.

Hi everyone, I’m considering the MSc Business Analytics & AI at Warwick and wanted to hear from people who are currently on the course or have graduated from it.

How is the course overall, especially in terms of teaching, course structure and career support? More importantly, do people generally manage to get good jobs after graduating, particularly in which roles do they get it?

I’m coming from a CS background, so I’m also wondering if the course is a good fit for someone with a CS background.

My main concern is employability after graduation. Does being in London give QMUL a significant advantage for jobs/networking, or is Glasgow the better choice overall?

I have a Bachelors in Computer Science and I've received an offer for an MSc in Financial Engineering at the University of Glasgow. I'm also waiting to hear back from Warwick for their Mathematical Finance/Financial Engineering program.

My end goal is to break into quant finance (quant research, quant dev, or quant trading).

For those already in the industry:

• Is an MFE/MSc in Financial Engineering actually worth it for getting into quant roles?
• How is the University of Glasgow viewed by employers for quant positions?
• If I get into Warwick as well, would that be a significantly better choice?

I'm an applicant from India applying for the M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence at THI (Winter 2026/27). I think I have a decent profile and would really hate to miss this opportunity just because of the VPD.

I'm submitting my uni-assist VPD application today (July 7), but the application deadline is July 15.

I know uni-assist says the processing time is usually 4–6 weeks, but has anyone actually received their VPD in under 8–9 days?

Is it worth taking the chance and applying anyway, or is there basically no hope of getting the VPD before the deadline?

Also, if anyone has experience with THI, do they ever accept a VPD a few days late if the delay is only because of uni-assist?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thanks!
