After nearly two months of waiting, I finally received my first admission offer for the Winter Semester 2026/27! 🎉

University: TU Chemnitz
Program: M.Sc. Web Engineering

Application Timeline:

  • 7 May: Applied via EduApplication
  • 28 May: Application evaluated and forwarded to TU Chemnitz
  • 1 July (Morning): Received university portal credentials
  • 1 July (Afternoon): Admission letter received 🎉

I'm still waiting for decisions from several other universities.

Would you recommend starting the visa process now with TU Chemnitz, or waiting another week to see if other admits arrive?

Has anyone else been admitted to the M.Sc. Web Engineering program at TU Chemnitz for this intake? Is there a WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, or other group for admitted TU Chemnitz students where people are discussing the enrollment and visa process?

Looking forward to connecting with fellow admits.

Mumbai VFS Student Visa Timeline – APS to Passport Delivered (University of Kassel)

So guys, thank you to everyone here who helped me throughout this visa process. Also, don't hire a consultant, it's actually pretty straightforward, and you can find answers to almost every doubt on this subreddit.

Here's my timeline:

Got my APS in just 3 days (November).

Received my University of Kassel admission for the IFBC(International Food business and consumer studies) program in April. It took around 2 months.

Submitted all my documents on the CSP portal on 3rd June and received corrections on 8th June.

Booked my visa appointment immediately for 16th June.

Received the "Decision Made" email on 3rd July.

Got my passport delivered today.

If you guys have any doubts, feel free to reach out to me. Thanks!

Need guidance on learning German and building skills before starting my MSc in CS (Germany)

Hi everyone,

I have my German student visa appointment on 13 July, and if everything goes as planned, I'll be joining my university on 1 October for an MSc in Computer Science.

This gives me around 2.5 months of free time, and I want to make the most of it.

My primary goal is to learn German, and I'm ready to dedicate 4–5 hours daily I'm looking for guidance on:

* The best resources or courses (online/offline) to learn efficiently.
* Whether I should prepare for a specific level (A1/A2/B1) before arriving in Germany.
* Any study plan or roadmap that has worked well for others.

Alongside German, I also want to strengthen my technical skills before my master's begins. Are there any topics, tools, or technologies you'd recommend focusing on for someone starting an MSc in Computer Science? I'm open to suggestions in areas like programming, mathematics, AI, systems, cloud, or anything else that would give me a good head start.

I'd really appreciate any advice from current students or alumni who have been in a similar situation.

Thanks in advance!

Confused between Australia, Germany, and other affordable countries for a Master's after BDS – Need honest advice

Hi everyone,

I'm from India and have a BDS degree. I'm planning to switch to a non-clinical career and pursue a Master's in fields like Healthcare Management, Health Informatics, Health Information Management, or similar programs.

I'm feeling completely stuck and would really appreciate advice from people who have gone through this.

My situation:

I have offer letters from Australian universities, but the total cost is going beyond ₹50 lakh, which is difficult for my family.

I'm also applying to Germany. I have taken the PTE, but a few consultancies are telling me that the German Embassy may reject my student visa because I didn't take IELTS. This has made me very anxious because I've heard mixed opinions.

One option I'm considering is BSBI in Berlin/Hamburg, but I'm worried because it is a private institution and I've read discussions saying it is not as highly regarded as public German universities. Would studying there affect my visa approval, job opportunities, or long-term career prospects?

My budget is around ₹30–35 lakh (including tuition and living expenses).

My priorities are:

Good return on investment (ROI)

Strong job market after graduation

Possibility of staying and working after the degree

Opportunity to save money and eventually support my family in India

An English-taught program (I don't know German yet, though I'm willing to learn)

My questions are:

If you were in my position, which country would you choose?

Is PTE really a problem for a German student visa, or is this just consultancy misinformation?

Is BSBI worth considering, or should I avoid it?

Are there other countries (such as Ireland, Finland, or any others) where I could realistically complete a Master's within ₹30–35 lakh and still have good career prospects?

I'd really appreciate honest opinions, especially from people currently studying or working abroad.

Thank you so much!

Need help: TU Chemnitz application marked as “Temporarily Excluded”

Hi everyone,

Has anyone experienced their application status changing to “Temporarily excluded” in the TU Chemnitz application portal?

My application for the Bachelor’s Foundations in Data Science (Winter Semester 2026/27) is currently showing this status, and I’m trying to understand what it means or what might have caused it.

If anyone has had the same status or knows the reason, I’d really appreciate your help. Thank you!

Study abroad (funded scholarships)

Hello, I recently graduated with a diploma in physics, but I want to pursue a bachelor's degree. Unfortunately, my university has raised tuition fees for those wishing to complete a bachelor's degree. In short, I was already studying for my bachelor's, but due to low grades, I was enrolled in the diploma program. The good news is that my grades in core subjects like quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, and classical mechanics are high, and these subjects are considered the heart of physics. For the past few days, I've been researching European universities, such as those in Germany and the Netherlands, where I can pursue my studies (with fully funded scholarships). Do you have any advice or guidance? I would be delighted to hear from you.

Should I prepare for a job now or go to Germany for a Master's? Need honest advice.

Hi everyone,

I'm a recent B.E. graduate in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science from India, and I'm at a crossroads.

I'm considering two options:

1)Focus on getting a software/data-related job in India.

2)Go to Germany for a Master's (likely in Computer Science or Data Science) and then build my career there.

My long-term goal is to have a strong career in tech with good growth, learning opportunities, and better salary prospects. I'm okay with working hard, learning German if needed, and adapting to a new country.

If you were in my position today, what would you choose and why?

I'd especially appreciate advice from people who:

•Studied in Germany.

•Found a job after graduating there.

•Chose to work first and pursue a Master's later.

•Recruit in the tech industry.

Please share the pros, cons, and any regrets or things you wish you had known before making your decision.

Thanks in advance!
