Have a look at SDE jobs data before you plan to study in IT in Germany

SDE Jobs are at an all time low in Germany.

This is something very important that any prospective student must be aware of before planning to move here. I see so many posts here about studying in Germany on student loans and what not.

In the recent times, we have seen so so many cases of student who exhausted their 18 months job seeker visa and still could not find a job.

But this is the reality facing you once the cushion of university is removed. I will post the link to this as well in the comments.

Knee support for plus size?

Hey lovely peeps, can anyone suggest a good knee support or kneecap? I am just done with these generic knee caps which roll down due to my thighs and then cut into my skin.

Would appreciate some tried and tested recommendations. Thank you

Any way to contact Ausländerbehörde?

Hi everyone,

For context my husband was on a job seeker visa after his graduation and we got married last year in November when his job seeker visa was still valid.

This March he recieved a letter from ABH saying he needs to fill in application to change his visa status as it would expire in May.

We made his application to convert from job seeker visa to dependent visa in March (visa expiry date was in May). To this day we have not recieved any email/letter from ABH about his visa. We went there personally and filled the notfall formular twice. Called them numerous times but to no avail.

He finally gave some interviews and things are looking positive. But without a visa he cannot start a job.

What can we do to get his visa expedited?

Job market is tough as it is, we do not want to be in a situation where he loses an offer just becuase ABH takes forever to respond.

Has anyone here taken nutritional plans from Richa Gangani?

Hi All,

I wanted to ask if anyone here has taken nutrition plan/ coaching from Richa Gangani? There is this fitness influencer who keeps popping up in my reels with very high mighty claims about her clients. I saw her own transformation is quite impressive. No one denies that but some of her stories raise quite a concern.

She shares stories where her clients have lost 5kg in 6 days/ 12 kgs in 30 days/ 30 kgs in 90 days!

Anyone who knows the fitness world understands that losing 1 to 1.5 kg a week is the only healthy way to go and drastic weight loss is never a good health option. When it comes to fitness there are no quick results but sustained lifestyle habits. Calories in calories out is the only way to go for weight loss but it advised by doctors never to go very low in calorie intake.

Has anyone taken her plan? What is your opinion

Is there a specific registry ? Or any other way?

Would help if these are in Power and Gas sector.

Thank you.

Had a weird experience today at Brentaobad

Today a coupme of our friends and us went to Brentanobad. As you know there is a slide there. Me and my husband went on the slide multiple times. No one said anything. Then one time we went again and were in the water when the guard made a whistle noise and asked me if i could swim. I told him yes and swam away from below the slide. Normally it takes a while to swim away coz from slide when you land in water you get some water in your nostrils.

After that we went on the slide again, guard at the top told us to swim towards the right side after sliding into the water. And so we did that. Then another guard (a different one) this time asked us to come out of the water. So we did. And he told me that his chef has said my swimming is not good enough and asked me to go to the other side saying that he saw me and we were not supposed to come to the right.

I explained him that the guard at the top asked us to go towards right. He spoke on his walkie talkie with him, he confirmed he said so but told me again that they think my swimming is not good enough and i need to go to the other side.

The other side is for non swimmers and for me no fun. The thing is i swim quite well. I have taken classes and have even done snorkleing in spain, greece and tansania. I have been swimming now for more than 8 years.

The thing is he was so aggresive and not willing to talk. I asked him just would like to discuss what went wrong so that i dont do it again. We told rudely i have no time this is my job we have told you to go. Spoiled the whole experience of the picnic for our entire group how there were aggresive and rude. And honesly i dont know on which grounds they thought i could not swim.

Anyone had similar experience? Can anyone explain me what the fuck that was?

Could this be a racist experience?

Also, why are people so fucking rude here. You can also calmly explain and talk but what do they get being so rude.

Dog in URGENT need of blood donation!

Hi All,

A family friend of mine is dealing with a critical situation with his pet. It is a Siberian Husky, and is currently in critical condition and urgently needs a blood donor. His blood reports are severely abnormal, and doctors are still investigating the exact cause.

The dog can receive both positive and negative blood groups. Is there a central blood bank or something where we can ask?

Any help or pointers would be really appreciated.

Thank you 🙏🏻

Not fpund a job since last 1.5 years. Suggestions?

Hi All,

I geaduated in November 2024 and was working as a student till March 2025 (as a working student). Ever since then i have been applying for job. Till June 2025 i thought to just to applications but then enrolled myself in Intensive German Language course. Since then i have brought my German from A1 to C1 (i am enrolled in C1 class but nowhere near speaking in a professional setting). I also had 2 take a break and travel to my home country for 3 months (December 2025 to Feb 2026) for personal reasons which were unavoidable.

My domain is IT System Administration (the job and experience i had working as a student) and applying for similar role it system admin, network engineer, data center tech.

My experience was working 3 years with a german company as a working student.

I had recieved a lot of responses last year for interviews. Did interviews with multiple companies as well but alsways got ghosted or they said position got on hol or some other candidate.

Now i am 1.5 years down and no job. I still apply everyday in the morning and go to my Gwrman class (afternoon to evening) working on my language every single day.

Any pointers or suggestions that i can do to better my chances? Any help would be appreciated

Visa wise it is no issue becuase my spouse has a PR.
