Hey guys, finally got my visa 🎉 Thought I'd share my timeline since I know a lot of people here are waiting and checking timelines like crazy.

I applied for a student visa through the CSP and here's how it went:

  • 22 July: Submitted my application on CSP
  • 22–23 July: Got a couple of queries and uploaded the corrected documents
  • 23 July: Application was marked complete
  • 6 August: Went for my VFS appointment, submitted everything and gave biometrics
  • 7 August: Got the update that my application was forwarded to the German Consulate
  • 12 August: Got the update that my passport was dispatched
  • 14 August: Passport delivered with the visa! 🎉

So it took me around 8 days from my VFS appointment to getting my passport back.

Honestly, I was expecting it to take at least 2–3 weeks, so I was completely caught off guard when the passport came back this quickly 😂. I was actually stressing quite a lot while waiting because you don't get to see the actual decision on the portal.

Now just need to sort out the remaining stuff and get ready to leave at the end of September.

Hope this helps anyone who's currently waiting. Good luck guys, hope you all get your visas soon! 🇩🇪

If anyone has questions about the CSP/VFS process or the timeline, feel free to ask. I'll answer whatever I can based on my experience.

P.S. - (I know i stole the image but i couldn't help myself lol)

Got my first admit! 🎉

University: Trier University, Germany

Program: M.Sc. Natural Language Processing

Profile:

  • B.Tech in Computer Science
  • German GPA: 1.8
  • IELTS: 7.5

Timeline:

  • Applied: 19 May 2026
  • Admit received: 8 June 2026

Honestly, the waiting period was much harder than I expected. After weeks of checking my email and portals multiple times a day, it feels great to finally receive an admit.

Still waiting for decisions from a few other universities, but this definitely takes a huge weight off my shoulders.

Happy to answer any questions about my profile or application process. Also would like to get in contact with fellow people who secured an admit for trier.

I applied through Uni Assist on March 13th, but I haven't heard back from them yet. Is this typical or is there a unique situation?

Course i applied for is MSDS
