Which phone to purchase?
My requirements:
Compact phone (all the next criterias should be treated amongst compact phones)
Best camera
Great battery
Great optimization
Great performance and should be able to handle heavy tasks
Good heatsink/cooling
These are my basic requirements. I have a few phones in mind such as the base s26, or the base iphone 17, etc.
Please recommend a phone that ticks all my requirements. Also, you can also recommend some non-compact phones but that's a massive trade-off for me. So even if you do, first a compact, then talk about large.
Galaxy S26 or Pixel 11? Which one should I buy?
I currently own a Galaxy S24 Ultra (been over 2 years now) and it's still running flawlessly. But I want to now switch to a more compact phone. I don't use the S Pen all that much so won't really miss it. I also don't play games on my phone. I appreciate a good camera, decent battery life and something that can last for atleast 2 years without any issues.
Now if I remove the Oppos and Vivos of the world, I am left with essentially two options:
Pixel 11 (non pro)
Galaxy S26
In my opinion, Pixel 11 is a real disappointment this year with hardly any changes and a price increase due to the RAM crisis. However, I am still able to get it down to about Rs 70K (plus can sell my S24 Ultra for about Ra 50K on cashify)
Galaxy S26, on the other hand, comes with Exynos 2600 unlike the S25 and I have had mixed experiences with those in the past. But I am getting it for roughly around Rs 18K on Samsung's corporate website if I trade in my S24 Ultra.
Which one should I get?
Are mid-range smartphones losing their value proposition in 2026? (Vivo Y31t leak breakdown)
Look at the attached leak. We all expected inflation to hit the smartphone market in 2026, but this is a whole new low.
How is a 720p HD+ display and base-tier hardware being sold for ₹26,000 to ₹35,000 just because it has a big battery?
Even till last year, ₹20k–₹30k got you solid 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED panels and respectable chipsets. Now brands are blatantly testing how low they can cut corners before casual offline buyers notice.
At this rate, what are we even looking at for 2027? ₹40k for 4GB RAM phones?
Is there any genuine justification for this, or are offline margins just running out of control?
Fire-Boltt's phone debut: One side is trash, the other is garbage 💀😂
Just look at the attached screenshot man... Seriously, look at the specs on both sides 😂
The 2026 smartphone market is already in a rough spot, and Fire-Boltt really looked at that and decided to launch two flavors of pure e-waste: on the left you have absolute trash, on the right you have pure garbage.
Look at what they are offering in late 2026. Who in their right mind is actually going to spend money on either of these? 😭
Are brands just packaging ancient leftover warehouse stock and calling it a new launch?
best camera + video phone: OPPO Find X9 (Pro) vs iPhone 17 Pro vs anything else?
Looking to buy during the upcoming Amazon Great Indian Festival / Flipkart Big Billion Days
Priority: camera and video quality above everything else. Photography + some video work, not just casual shots.
If there's something else in this price range with genuinely better camera/video than these two — Vivo X300 Pro, Samsung, whatever — happy to hear it. Not attached to a brand, just want the best actual camera system I can get under one lack during the bbd or Amazon Great Indian Festival
Finally upgraded after years

If you ever need a smart plug get from tplink, never from new brands.
Once I bought a smart plug from Flipkart, it was cheap and 6a one for 600rs, 1 year later suddenly it isn't pair with phone. I did a bit of investigation and turned out it was operable only via wan, like phone sends signal to their server via internet and that signal comes back via router to plug. So when they closed the server it became literal junk.
Got this tplink tapo plug, for 900, super easy setup via bluetooth and one of the most popular smart device setup. They develop everything and everything plugs into their own network, so their is zero chance of failure unlike most other brands in india and it works without internet.
The power usage is accurate as I have tested the same setup via a watt meter and it shows similar 29w while charging(there will be some loss of power via the charger brick). But as it is pretty accurate, returned the watt meter.
Ordered Oppo X9 for INR 63000
It usually showed out of stock on Flipkart, but today I found 1 piece was available so I ordered it!
Any x9 owners please share your experience with the phone?
Did I get a good deal or should I cancel this ?
14 Pro in the big 26, good or no?
About to receive a used 14 pro from someone I know. Currently using an f23 5g and have been using it for the past 6 Years. Just wanted to ask if the 14 pro is still good in 2026, for a few details on the phone it's max capacity rn is 84% and other than that it is pretty much mint. It was sparingly used for calls, whatsapp, reels and all.
I intend to do pretty much the same but maybe playing games sometimes.
What all should I do once I get it?
I have 25k do i wait for bbd

S25 price hike
Smartphones have left gold behind in price hike.
Better to invest in RAM and SSD than gold.
A single person has destroyed the entire smartphone market.

FiiO M21 DAP
A must have Digital Audio Player for those who spend 6-7 hours listening to music, a day.
To analyse music quality, clarity, dynamics, EQs, etc, it is a beast. I have 200+GBs of lossless music in the best possible format that I enjoy with this DAP.
Nothing 3a(olx)
I’m getting a used Nothing Phone (3a) for ₹17,000. It has no box, but the original bill is available.
What are the most important things I should check/test before buying?
I found the DeviceLab app on the Play Store for hardware testing. Is it good, or is there a better app?
Mainly want to check:
Display/battery replacement
Battery health
Screen, touch, cameras, speakers, mic and sensors
Any way to tell if the phone was opened/repaired
IMEI/bill verification
so please suggest the most important checks.
I am taking this for my mother.
What font do you use in your devices.
I know many on reddit get excessively worked up when they see a font other than system one that looks cool, but fonts that look slightly handwritten look easier to my eyes.
is it normal to see this?
HP VICTUS 15
12GB DDR5 RAM
RYZEN 7
RTX 3050 6GB
Is this normal usage of ram in idle on a brand new laptop?
