I don’t think adults should have best friends

Hear me out before u start typing
Once ur an adult, having a “best friend” seems kinda unnecessary.
U have a partner, family, coworkers, acquaintances… why do u need one person who gets a special VIP status in ur life?
And honestly, most “best friends” eventually become strangers anyway.
People grow apart, move cities, get married, have kids, change priorities…
Most ‘best friendships’ are just two ppl refusing to admit they’ve outgrown each other because admitting it would make all those years feel wasted.
I’d rather have 5–10 good friends without ranking them.
If someone needs a “best friend” to feel emotionally complete, that sounds more like dependency than friendship.

I think people should stop forgiving their parents

I know this sounds harsh, but honestly… some of u need to hear it.

Being someone’s parent doesn’t automatically make them a good person.

I see ppl saying “but they’re ur parents” like that sentence magically cancels out years of lying, manipulation, screaming, controlling behaviour or making their kids feel like shit.

If a friend treated u the same way, u wouldn’t hesitate to cut them off.

But when it’s ur parent, suddenly everyone expects unlimited forgiveness because “they raised u.”

So what?

They chose to have u. Raising u was their responsibility, not some lifelong favour u have to repay.

And I don’t buy the whole “they did their best” excuse either.

Sometimes their best was genuinely terrible.

Blood doesn’t automatically create trust, respect or love.

And no, I don’t think u have to forgive someone just because they’re old now, sick now, or suddenly regret what they did.

If they changed, good for them.

U still don’t owe them access to ur life.

Sometimes the healthiest thing u can do is accept that they’re ur parent… and still decide u don’t want them around.

I feel that I'm abnormally obsessed with leftism. Please hear me out.

Before, you call me insane I want you to hear me out. So, from a young age I came to know about leftism (an ideology which is based on equality and equal wealth distribution). I loved the concept and became a follower of leftism. Naturally, I supported left-wing parties. But, later I came to realize that left-wing parties are not synonymous with leftism. I've studied that the left had committed atrocities and brutalities. I don't support left-wing parties. But, still I'm a follower of democratic socialism. I love the ideology.

However, I feel that I'm quite obsessed with it. See, I receive hate for being a socialist. Though, I strongly condemn the wrongdoings of the left and I don't care about politics much but some people around me know that I'm a socialist and a left-winger. They hate me unnecessarily.

The problem is that I don't want adhere to any particular ideology. I support what's in the best interest of India and its people. That must be goal of all Indians. I support equality and equitable economic distribution at the same time giving way for democracy.

However, I feel a strange obligation to support leftism. It's completely internal. None forces me but myself. I feel ashamed of myself when someone speaks ill of the ideology. I acknowledge there is fault with leftism and also with rightism. I don't want to support any ideology blindly and evaluate critically. Yet, I feel a psychological pressure. I often hate those who speak ill of leftism. Whenever someone negatively describes me, I feel that person is against leftism. I often hate society as a whole for hating leftism.

Please help me out. I don't wanna risk myself because of this. I love all people. I don't support anyone blindly, Yet, I feel this pressure. Please Please help.

Would you trade off your freedom for comfort? Let's have a discussion

Imagine a situation in which you will be provided with comfort in life, free healthcare, love and the stuffs you like the most which maybe, a carefree situation to practise your hobbies, your favourite food items to eat, etc. etc. But, there's a catch, you'll have to obey a master/mistress. You'll have no basic freedom beyond the boundaries of your house, everything you do will require prior permission of the master/mistress and their say is final.

Would you agree to live in such a situation? If so, why? Explain the reason for your choice..

Why I think cheating is actually good for relationships

I know this is going to get downvoted, but hear me out.

My girlfriend cheated on me 2 months ago and honestly it was probably the best thing that happened to our relationship.

Before she cheated, I was taking her for granted. We had become comfortable. Same routine, same conversations, same boring weekends.

Then I found out she slept with another guy.

Obviously I was angry at first. But after thinking about it objectively, I realized she basically gave me a free relationship wake-up call.

Suddenly I started dressing better, going to the gym, planning dates and actually paying attention to her.

And guess what?

Our relationship became better than it had ever been.

So technically, cheating improved our relationship.

People always say “if you’re unhappy, just leave.”

But that’s unrealistic. Relationships aren’t customer-service subscriptions where you can just cancel them whenever something goes wrong.

Sometimes you need a major disaster to remind both people what they have.

She says she regrets hurting me, but she doesn’t regret what happened because it made us realize how much we cared about each other.

Honestly, I think society is too dramatic about cheating.

Maybe cheating isn’t always the end of a relationship.

Maybe sometimes it’s the beginning of a better one.

Ami ki thik korlam?

So i was going to the market for some work, and my mother gave me a ₹500 note. I took my phone and my earphones, while taking out my earphones, i think i dropped the ₹500 note. Now i searched for it everywhere, could not find it anywhere. I came back home and told it to my mom. She was very upset and angry, that is when i remembered i had some 1k saved, so i took out one note and excitedly told her i found it, it was in my pocked just deep in. She was finally relieved.

Now comes the guilty part, i did not tell my mother i took earphones and she hates me using them (idk why, she just) and for my stupidity i lost the cash. I am feeling pretty guilty for lying to her. Please share your opinions on this situation.
