While Everyone Watched the CJP Protest, Haryana Protesters Faced Water Cannons

The timing raises an interesting question.

While BJP and RSS supporters were busy amplifying the CJP protest over the exam controversy, a Youth Congress march on the same issue in Haryana was met with water cannons and detentions.

Yet the Haryana protest received a fraction of the attention from those same circles.

This creates the impression that the focus on the CJP protest served as a convenient distraction from images of police action against protesters in a BJP-ruled state. Whether intentional or not, the result was the same: public attention shifted away from the Haryana crackdown and towards a different protest.

The BJP government sells optics, but numbers tell the truth. Net FDI has crashed from $28 billion to around $1 billion in two years. Investors are taking their money back while the Finance Minister keeps claiming everything is fine. A government obsessed with PR and an incompetent economic leaders

What are the things rahul gandhi and congress should have in their manifesto and promises and should be changed about them so that you feel they will be great for nation

The problem is that after seeing before modi became a pm and after becoming one, one thing is clear many of his promises were big lies to our faces and now what we see is total doom of a nation. That makes me now skepitical about rahul gandhi to as in opposition he is doing his wrok but we cannot gurantee him being great than modi in any way when he comes to power. so i was wondering what you all think -what should be some aims and goals of congress to be great as they are the prime candidate to defeat bjp in lok sabha or should we expect another party to rise up to save us from this parasite party. in my opnion, if congress can succesfully deprivatise public property and improve it and follow their socialist ideology economically and to not weaponise caste like last loksabha and to actually try to find ways to end caste discrimination then i will be happy to vote for them

"India is the future" then why are so many powerful people's kids abroad?

Politicians to the Youth:

  • "Stay in India and build the nation 🇮🇳"
  • "India will be a superpower by 2047"
  • "The future is here"

Also Youth and JEE/NEET/UPSC/SSC or other aspirants:

  • Fighting for 1 mark
  • Fighting for 1 seat
  • Fighting against paper leaks
  • Fighting insane competition

Meanwhile, a surprising number of politicians, bureaucrats, and influential people seem to send their own children abroad for education, jobs, or permanent settlement.

Genuine question:

If India is where the brightest future lies, why do so many of the people running the system choose a different path for their own families?

Not trying to start a fight. Just something I've always wondered.

Will ruling apparatus in India get blindsided?

History for both, politics and business, has shown time and again that what wipes out the existing structure is more often than not a completely new disruptive force and not an existing competitor.

I feel today BJP revels in the fact that opposition is mostly in tatters and unorganized and doesn't present itself as much of an opposition.

To that extent there is a smugness and arrogance of having no credible challenge or challenger.

This I believe manifests in being indifferent to some fundamental issues - a critical one being unable to build connect with the youth, the gen z alpha and what not.

My belief is that the downfall of BJP will come from a disruptive force or movement that they have not envisaged will be a challenge and hence not prepared for.

I feel it'll be more of a movement than a political outfit that is a result of the disenchantment of the youth in terms of rising costs but lesser employment opportunities and an environment that is conducive for a few to thrive upon.

we can see those early sparks - whether it is the youth that self mobilized for CJP or Annamalai getting 13L supporters in just 24 hrs.

If the ruling government can't address it, their decimation can be very swift and can come through such un-factored quarters.

I also believe that the ruling set up - given their solid control over the country mostly looks at mockingly towards such movements but this may not remain so for long.

Views pls...

The CJP event on the ground exposed the reality that there was no preparation for the movement, no mobilisation, and that it solely depended on social media fervour

THE CURRENT BIG 3 VILLAINS OF INDIAN EDUCATION

Many students have worked very hard all through the year and have been successful in getting competitive ranks in exams like JEE.

However, due to possible discrepancies in board examination evaluation, many students have been forced to apply for re-evaluation.

The issue is not just about marks.

The real issue is that the process of registration and admission for counselling is already underway while the re-evaluation results are still awaited. Students whose marks may increase after re-evaluation face the risk of losing admission opportunities simply because their corrected results are not available before important deadlines.

What do you think about it?

India's biggest problem is not Modi.

It is not Rahul Gandhi.

It is a population that knows Virat Kohli's average,

Salman Khan's net worth, Ranbir's relationships,

and every Elvish Yadav controversy.

But don't know their MLA, their MP, or what they're

actually doing with their vote.

A question to all the Indian from a 24 year graduate

I know its a bit long but plzz read the entire thing

About me & the confusion*

I’m a 24 year old guy, just finished my undergraduation, come from a Brahmin family that blindly supports BJP, and I’m genuinely looking for answers from both the left and the right community of this country. I’m genuinely confused. I’m not here to hurt any religious sentiment or push any political propaganda — just a guy who is in fear or anxiety on the future of our nation while we study, work hard for our future, and that very future is dark looking at the current situation. Read the whole thing and share your perspective on how to tackle such things. Is India really heading in the wrong direction under BJP rule? I’m asking the whole country this.

*Infra & policy fails*

We see things like a brand new flyover in a metro city suddenly narrowing into a single lane, causing massive jams. Then there’s the whole E20/E100 ethanol blending push by Nitin Gadkari — fuel prices aren’t dropping, mileage is worse, and older vehicles are getting damaged. Is collecting money through ethanol blending the only solution, or is there really no better way to handle this?

*Political parties — who to even support?

And the frustrating part is, as much as people are unhappy with BJP, many say Congress would be even worse. I’ve seen some Rahul Gandhi blabbering nonsense without a concrete plan, while on the other hand Modi keeps making promises but delivery feels questionable. Then there are people supporting AAP, the so called "cockroach janta party" as some call it, and others say it’s just AAP propaganda. I’m genuinely confused which party to even support anymore.

*Adani & zero accountability*

Then there’s Adani. I haven’t researched him deeply but everyone says BJP is backing him. Why? What’s the deal? And people who blame everything on Modi — fine, but what about accountability? There was a new bridge where locals literally stole the lights and damaged it. Another bridge collapsed within 2 weeks of inauguration. Can’t we just find out which contractor built it and actually punish them? There’s zero accountability. Make strict laws and hold someone responsible for once.

*Taxes & roads*

And toll tax — why am I paying toll when I already paid huge road tax while buying my car? Even if private companies build roads, why collect toll when national highways have massive potholes? Six months back I was doing 80 km/hr at night, couldn’t see a crater in the center of the NH because of high beams from opposite traffic. Almost wrecked my car. What are we paying for?

*UPI credit, Khan Sir & freebies culture*

People ask what Modi has done. I’ll give credit where it’s due — UPI was a massive upgrade and I genuinely appreciate it. But then there’s stuff like the recent Khan Sir controversy. The man built a hospital and gives healthcare at low cost. People are crying that he promised MRI for 25 rupees and now it’s 250. Come on, others charge 2500 for the same thing. Why do people support freebies though? Recent Tamil Nadu elections — 8 grams of gold given to married couples. Like our Prime Minister is shouting his lungs out telling us don’t buy gold, then why such schemes or situations? And the current CM of Tamil Nadu is the person who promised such things and I don’t know how will he fulfill such statements.

*Influencers & fake comparisons*

Then there are some Instagram influencers who genuinely confuse me. Some say that India has progressed so much, other reels stating that Indian rupee will reach 150. Full brain is confused. Then there are some people comparing India with Pakistan. Come on guys, if you compare yourself to a smaller guy or an entity we always have that false sense of victory. Compare India to China or Japan. Indians live in a false state of mind. We can’t compare ourselves to China — their import or export ratio, the manufacturing capabilities etc.

*India’s export-import ratio & future*

Someone explain the current export-import ratio of India and its future to me. We keep hearing “Make in India” but our trade deficit is still huge. We import massive amounts of crude oil, electronics, and gold, while our exports are mostly IT services, pharma, and some manufacturing. China is the world’s factory with insane export surplus. Japan built itself on tech exports. Where does India actually stand? Are we becoming a manufacturing hub or just a consumer market for the world? With rupee sliding and imports getting costlier, what’s the plan? If we don’t fix manufacturing and reduce dependence on imports, how will the future look for guys like us who are just entering the job market?

*Job market & broken law system*

How is the job market in India right now? I just graduated and it feels like unless you’re from IIT/IIM or have crazy connections, you’re stuck with 3 LPA jobs or unpaid internships. Government jobs have 10 lakh applicants for 1000 posts. Private sector wants 5 years experience for fresher roles. Startups are laying off people every month. Is this the “Amrit Kaal” we keep hearing about? And even the law system in India — there are so many lawyers present, still justice is delayed or not even served. Cases drag on for 20 years. Dates pe dates. Rich people get bail in one day, poor guy rots in jail for stealing bread. If the system can’t punish a contractor who built a bridge that collapsed in 2 weeks, what hope does a common man have? So many laws, so many courts, but where is the actual justice?

*Question to people who moved abroad

Question to people who are moving out of the country or already moved — how do you feel about it? How did you actually do it? Was it worth leaving family, friends, culture behind? Is there racism outside that you face daily? People say “US is heaven” or “Canada is better” but then I see videos of Indians getting attacked or treated like second-class citizens. Is it a good idea to move out of the country right now? Because staying here feels like we’re stuck with corruption, no jobs, bad roads, and endless politics. But is running away the solution? For those who left — do you regret it or do you feel free? Genuinely want to know the ground reality, not the Instagram version.

*Question to Hindus*

Then this whole Hindu angle — I get it, but it’s getting extreme. "Cow is our mother" is fine, but last month on a bike trip we kept running into cows sitting in the middle of highways where the speed limit is 120 km/hr. No street lights, sudden cow in front of you at night — who’s responsible if someone dies? And honestly, is Hinduism only on social media now? We see the slogans online, but on the ground there’s no fencing, no shelters, nothing to actually manage it. Question to Hindus — why are some temples so shabby if we take pride in it so much? Last year I visited the famous temple of Bhagavan Shirdi Sai Baba and I was disgusted at people spitting tobacco inside the mandir waiting line. Civic sense hai ki nahi?

*Question to Muslims*

Question to Muslims also — why do Muslims justify that Islam is a peaceful religion because wherever I see, all the terrorist attacks are carried out in the name of Islam. The recent Pahalgam attack for example. Then there is the point where all Muslims say that India is a secular country. Let me ask all Muslims — why does the Qur’an say that the people who don’t follow Islam are kafirs? Then there is another thing which I noticed: Muslims not saying Bharat Mata Ki Jai because it’s against Islam. Then how do you people think that Hindus will accept India is a secular country? Every other day we see new Islamic baba caught in conversion racket.

*So what now?

Are we stuck choosing the lesser evil? Are we actually developing or just getting played by all sides? Someone explain — is there any hope or are we just going in circles?

The govt has created a successful illusion that the PM is the head patriarch of the Indian society.

It's a genius move, might be terrible for the general well-being of the nation but it's definitely working.

When any fuck up happens, the blame is shifted to bureaucrats and concerned minister which is fair but you know that phrase the buck stops with the boss.

Even in the recent CBSE case, I saw a group of parents hoping the PM would take notice and do the right thing. Like wow, dude you gotta be raging against the PM and his government but no, they wished the head of the family ( the honorable PM ) would discipline the errant members of the family ( the Education minister ).

The news is shaped like that. The news goes like " The PM is not happy with CBSE " ok good but it's his government and his ministers, and their bureaucrats.

I see the very visible parallel of how a traditional Indian family works. The head of the family, the patriarch, is exempt from any accountability. The members of the family are allowed everything till the patriarch does not intervene.

When things go terribly wrong, the patriarch disciplines the guilty party, and lives to see another day.

You know when did I realize this, the PM is the Amrish Puri version of the movie Hulchul. Ofcourse, it's hyperbole but it's kinda true.

Sooner or later, the very family is brought down by the "nalayak" offsprings. History is full of such stories how those who build an empire lost it all because they didn't realize their own blood is worthless.

I wonder which minister - who was loved ( at least admired ) 2 years back is now hated for his very weird sugarcane obsession which somehow is making millions for his offspring. I'm sure you all are smart enough to make you own realizations.

The good thing about reading history is it always repeats in some form or other.

Do you think Indian TV news media has become too biased toward the ruling party?

I'm curious to know what others think about this.

Recently, while watching a TV news debate, I noticed that the anchor seemed to interrupt the opposition spokesperson much more often, especially when they were criticizing the ruling party. At the same time, the anchor appeared more friendly toward the ruling party representative, often agreeing with their points, laughing with them, or helping reinforce their arguments with additional perspectives.

To be clear, this isn't about supporting the opposition or attacking the ruling party. My concern is about whether news anchors and media channels are remaining neutral, as journalism is supposed to hold all sides accountable.

Has anyone else noticed this trend, or am I overthinking it?

I would encourage people to watch a few debate shows with as little political bias as possible and focus only on the behavior of the anchor—who gets interrupted, who gets challenged, and who gets support. Do you think Indian TV news channels are still neutral, or have they become increasingly partisan?

Would love to hear different perspectives.
