Fred Again Blr (need tix)
I’m looking to get one ticket for the 12th in GA. Any leads would help alot, thanks.
My father never misses a chance to belittle my mother or me.
I'm 21 and still living at home because I'm still in college, so moving out isn't financially possible right now.
My mom has a neurological condition that has significantly affected her mobility. Even touching certain objects can cause painful electric shock-like sensations in her hands. She struggles with everyday tasks, but instead of supporting her, my father constantly mocks, insults, and degrades her. He calls her lazy, acts like she's exaggerating, and treats her like she's a burden. I've never seen him show genuine empathy for what she's going through.
His treatment of me isn't much different.
It's like he's in a competition with his own daughter. Every conversation becomes an opportunity to prove me wrong, insult me, or make me feel small. I grew up hearing that I was disrespectful, stupid, blind, ungrateful, or that I knew nothing. Living in this house feels like constantly walking on eggshells.
When I was 13, I accidentally discovered he was having an extramarital affair. Looking back, I think that was the moment I realized the person I thought he was didn't really exist.
The atmosphere at home is exhausting because we never know what mood he'll be in. He's never apologized for the things he's said or done. Somehow, everything is always someone else's fault.
I don't know if "narcissist" is the right word, and I'm not trying to diagnose him. I just know that living with someone who constantly criticizes, humiliates, and emotionally wears you down has affected both my mom and me.
Has anyone here grown up with a parent like this? How did you protect your mental health while you were still living with them? How do you stop questioning yourself when someone has spent years making you feel like you're the problem?
I feel emotionally exhausted, and I honestly don't know what "normal" family dynamics are supposed to look like anymore.
My 11-year-old Lab has slowed down, cries out in pain randomly, and is shedding heavily. How can I make her more comfortable?
Hello everyone. I'm looking for some advice from anyone who has experience with senior dogs.
My girl has been limping on one of her front legs for a while now. We took her to the vet, who prescribed Orthoron tablets, but she's been on them for about a month and unfortunately there's been no noticeable improvement.
Over the past few days, she's also started crying out in pain seemingly out of nowhere. It happens suddenly, and I haven't been able to identify what triggers it or exactly where she's hurting.
On top of that, she's shedding heavily and has developed a few bald patches in different areas.
Has anyone experienced something similar with their senior dog? If so, what turned out to be the cause, and what helped? I'd really appreciate any advice or insights while I try to get her back to the vet. Thank you
