As we know , Kashi is not only a popular tourist spot for Indians , people from all around the world visit here.
So from that i assume there must be places catering to different ethnicities with their local cuisine.
Share if you know about any of them.
eg : found this Tibetan place with authentic dishes.

If you live in an apartment , it's relatively safer because of security guards and cameras , etc. But have any of you live in a house on rent , incase the family wasn't there and all . Did you feel safe or were there any issues ?
Edit : I have been living here for 2 years now , but in a PG , so there has never been any problem like stalking , etc. But obviously the creeps and creepy staring and catcalling outside are very disgusting . I am saying that if a person lives alone in a neighbourhood , in a house without any landlord family , would there be issues ?
Just wanted to share a wholesome moment from 3rd July around 1 PM. I was returning from Sigra on a bike with my cousin, and near Nadesar, we crossed paths with an e-rickshaw. There was a girl in it wearing a pink kurti, and we happened to lock eyes and share a really nice, genuine smile.
Coincidentally, we were both heading towards Kacheheri, and we kept exchanging friendly smiles along the way. I was a bit too shy to say hello or initiate a conversation, and our routes eventually diverged at Kacheheri. It was just a really sweet, fleeting interaction that left me smiling for the rest of the day! 😅
I just want to sit and smoke. Something nice to eat and spend my evening in peace. Suggest a place, plz terracota or luwak mat bolna plej.

Hi everyone,
I'm an M.A. English student at BHU and I'm looking for bookshops near Lanka (within about 10 km) where I can get English literature books at reasonable prices.
I'm currently looking for M.H. Abrams' A Glossary of Literary Terms, along with other books useful for UGC NET/JRF English, literary criticism, theory, and MA English.
I'm fine with new, second-hand, or old books if they're in good condition.
Could you suggest some reliable bookshops or areas where I should look? If you know shops that offer good student discounts, please mention those too.
Thanks in advance!
What to do I tried calling helpline they aren't picking up
I'm from Kerala and I've been wanting to spend 2–3 weeks in Varanasi—not as a tourist, but as someone who wants to experience daily life in the city.
My goal is to live simply, make local friends, explore the ghats, drink chai, walk around the old city, and just experience the culture and rhythm of Varanasi. I'm on a very limited budget, so I'm looking for the cheapest safe options for accommodation and food.
I'd love to know:
1)Where can I find affordable rooms, hostels, or PGs for a couple of weeks?
2)Any tips for meeting people and making genuine local friends?
I'm respectful of local culture and just want to experience the city in an authentic way.
URGENT, PLEASE HELP I'm in Varanasi right now and am looking for brocades and fabric stores that sell pure silk fabrics not sarees. Fabrics by metre.
