Anyone here considered unattractive in Malaysia but suddenly considered attractive overseas?

My skin is on the sawo matang side, and my facial features are mostly south indian (I'm malay + indian Mix). Got told that I am not as attractive as light skin people as a child. My thick eyebrows and bolder features aren't helping, too. Got crushes on a lot of malay guys who in the end all of them rejected me, with one guy saying that it's because I am not fair enough and he preferred amoi looking/amoi. Chinese and indian guys some more, got crushes on them, but they usually only stick to chinese women and indian women. Plus i wore tudung at school, takkan la nak approach camtu je.

So I never got into relationship in Malaysia. Not only that, but thanks to strict conservative family, I never really made friends and grew up with social anxiety.

I started communicating with Westerners on the internet, and they told me that some things that asians generally find unattractive are attractive for them, and that asian beauty standards are too strict. That was like at least 7-10 years ago.

I got a scholarship to study overseas (europe) and it was an eye-opening. The features that people find unattractive in my home country are considered attractive here, and also rare. Being called exotic (it's not healthy I know) but bruh. I got more chances here. I just needed to be careful to not fall in superficial romantic discourses.

Fast forward in 3 years time I have a boyfriend matsalleh, who I met during studies. He really loves how I look, but unfortunately I still couldn't fully shake off the social conditioning since childhood. Breaking my mental shackles as days go by, but I just couldn't escape from it. I mean, in europe it's not really 100% inclusive, if you know what I mean, but they are more accepting of diverse looks.

Is it normal for a property agent to charge a deposit for viewing?

My friend is trying to book a slot to view rooms for rental and the agent is asking to pay an upfront fee of RM 250 which will be refunded after the viewing. Is this standard practice? Because sounds kinda fishy and we cant find any reviews of the agent.

Rate my kebun

Kebun aeroponik, aquaponik & kolam ternakan ikan talapiah merah sistem RAS.

Dekat setahun aku buat benda ni. DIY from scratch. Pada aku menjadi la. Aku ingat nak expend kebun ni. Tapak dah ada. Slow-slow la kumpul modal.

Realistic solutions for paying off debts

It’s not my debt but I’m feeling anxious about it so I feel compelled to help. However, I’m a housewife and I’d appreciate it if nobody would judge/laugh at me right now. I’m here because I’ve run out of prayers to get me through this anxiety and I seriously need suggestions.

Please dont judge me 🥲

Looking For a Budget Car

First Time Buying A car

I’m looking for an automatic car that is:

• Reliable and low maintenance
• Cheap spare parts & repairs
• Good fuel economy
• Easy for normal workshops to service
• Unlikely to give major headaches after purchase

Budget: RM10,000 max.

What models/years would you recommend, and which ones should I avoid? Real owner/mechanic advice appreciated. 🙏

Why would you tell your customers that you're in debt. Wouldn't that scare them off?

Looking to repair my Switch joycon, this local advertiser in Kota Kemuning is offering service but at the same time indicate that he's in debt. Like dude why would you need to tell people that? If you're thinking people will sympathize with you they'll be more scared you abscond their devices or do some dodgy dealings.

Venting

Tired af, I'm transitioning from junior role to mid level role. Not only I am lacking in knowledge, my last job also different path from the new one.

They expect me to know everything and sometime when I asked something to the seniors, they look annoyed and don't really fully answer my question. Not to mention sometime to solve some issue you need to find different people and some people don't really like doing it. I want to do the technical part not just go reach out multiple department just to get information and reach out users to solve their issue. Now just email reach out, meeting with users, meeting with higher up presenting..only little technical part.

When I go home, I need to study some of my jobs topics.. and sometime I'm too mentally tired just sit around my bed doom scrolling.. I have to take this to move up my career path and salary or I just stay stagnant.

Sometime I just want to stay as junior role forever but the salary man..fking life mann..hoping to retired already..or maybe be a farmer..
