turn it down a couple of notches, these many ads & each one has 3 ads

I swear this app cannot get worse. This is a 2 hour movie with around 13 ad breaks and each break has 3 ads each. I already pay basic subscription. What is the necessity of these many ads. This is just a cheap move by these greedy leaches, literally trying to monetize from every single possible second . I swear disney hotstar was much much better. This destroys the whole experience of watching a movie. If Jio thinks that they can annoy people to buy their premium subscription, then they're wrong, this won't work. I'd rather watch these movies freely in other sites, and still it will have less no. of ads than jiohotstar. Worst app ever. Feels like watching a little bit of the movie in between ads.

Why are the movie and episode sizes so large in 1080p quality? I understand that 1080p is the highest quality, but on Netflix and Prime Video, even movies in the highest quality are usually around 2 GB, and they also download much faster. On Hotstar, it always takes some time to download episodes and movies, which I haven’t experienced with the other two platforms. I’m specifically talking about the mobile apps.

Why are they wasting resources on providing commentary for a series they don’t even have streaming rights to? Instead of focusing on commentary, they should be investing in improving their streaming quality, strengthening their digital infrastructure, fixing buffering and stability issues, and delivering a smoother overall user experience.

There’s little value in spending money around such things when their existing platform still needs serious improvements.

Prioritise better technology, reliable servers, higher-quality streams, and a more seamless viewing experience for the users who are already paying for your service.
