No, Antony, that does not mean Hinduism is less than a bag of rice. Hinduism is a way of life that is priceless, but it is Christianity that equated itself to a bag of rice. A religion that sells itself is a 'movement' not a religion.

Christianity is a people's movement that suggests people change their ways of thinking, beliefs and personalities based on a selective reading of history.

Any religion that converts people actually suppresses and oppresses their thinking abilities and the inherent 'seeker' in every individual that yearns for truth.

A movement on the other hand comes with its 'program', its 'propaganda' and its systematic design with which reality should be approached and interpreted. A movement sells its ideas and ideals to others and intends to 'recruit' followers to help and expand the movement.

In reality Christianity is just a movement with a price tag for membership. Hinduism is about a way of life. No one can be recruited into a 'way of life'. You are just as you are and you can be what you want to be based on your actions and the fruits of your actions.

Hinduism is a way of life. After this claim was raised, we started getting to know of muslims claiming Islam is also a way of life, but actually Islam is a 'movement of people'. They have claims, they organize their followers and they launch them to achieve socio-political goals.

If anybody is found to be saying that Islam is a way of life, then counter them by saying Islam is a movement of people. A movement has the following features:

  • Collective Action: Movements involve a large number of people working together to pursue a common objective.
  • Shared Ideology: Participants unite under a common belief, vision, or set of ideas that serve as the foundation for their activism.
  • Sustained Efforts: Unlike sudden, isolated events, movements rely on continuous and long-term action over time.

Tell me how does Hinduism fall into any of the above brackets? Hinduism does not have any collective action, or a single shared ideology or any sustained efforts over a long period of time. Hinduism does not have a future roadmap or a vision or future long term goals to achieve. Islam has a long-term goal to achieve, conversion of the entire world to Islam. That's its agenda.

A way of life is more suitable for Hinduism because Hindus just live their ordinary lives. Live for their household, their families, their social circles and they do not have grand visions and narratives about the world or the future.

Do not Islamists appropriate 'way of life' as a descriptor for their religion. Only Hinduism is a way of life. Islam is a socio-political movement masquerading as a religion.

Does one have to be a religious Hindu to talk about political matters concerning Hindus? Savarkar's many views do not align well with staunch followers of Sanatana Dharma, but Sankaracharyas are not politically knowledgeable to speak on political matters

Should Hindus have some sort of upadhi based on being a learned master of some scripture before they can represent Hinduism at the political front?

Sankaracharyas are largely ignorant of political sciences and often do not have the diplomatic tact to speak on religious and political matters of the day.

So who is in a position to speak for Hindus?

If you are participating in this thread, why do you think you are qualified to speak for Hinduism? Do you know Hinduism deeply enough yourself?

Do you have a roadmap for the future? Do you have a vision for HInduism?

Can you say you can build a roadmap or a vision for HInduism if you don't know Hinduism deeply enough?

How much important is it for you to know about criticism of Hinduism to be able to defend Hinduism against common criticisms that are levelled against Hinduism?

Islam is a xenophobic religion, but it's xenophobia is rarely contested. Contesting religions has become fashionable for the leftists but leftists do not contest Islam's xenophobia. Islam is used as an ally and not an equal target like other religions.

Islam teaches its followers to hate the kaafir, to kill them. Islam teachers its followers to ensure Islam prevails over other systems including democracies. Islam teaches its followers to enslave others if they are caught in a war with Islam, but does not clarify whether they can do that when they are attacked or when they are provoked to attack. There is a difference between the two. If muslims persistently harass Hindus and then when Hindus retaliate, Islamist clergy would define even that as a war like situation while disregarding that retaliation happened because of provocations from muslims.

Leftists see Islamists as an ally because they view Islam as an ideology against colonialism but because of Islam's censorship of any speech criticizing Islam, leftists rarely target Islam's own colonialism and xenophobia. Hating other cultures, religions, thought systems, governance systems just because they are not part of Islam. Telling Islam's followers to not make friends with non-muslims. Telling them to not participate in the religions and festivals of non-muslims. These are examples of racist prejudices for people who do not think the same as Islam. This is nothing but xenophobia.

Proof why Ambedkar criticized Gandhian methods. While Gandhi had right justification, his methods can be adopted even by evil forces to rationalize their xenophobia. That's why institutional method is the best method

See how Islamists are camping like a protest. CJP is also doing that.

Islamists are advocating for voluntary arrest to emphasise their 'satyagraha'. Sonam Wangchuk is on hunger strike.

Such styles of protest attract human sympathy, but today we have seen how identity is exploited to weaponize sympathy against people.

Therefore such kind of 'dramatic' methods no longer have a place in today's world where we have our destinies in our own hand without any colonizers or oppressors.

Yasin Malik claimed in a Delhi High Court affidavit that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh personally thanked him for meeting Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed.

The IB does not possess the legal or operational jurisdiction to authorize a diplomatic or cross-border meeting of this nature. Under the institutional framework of the time, an executive clearance of this magnitude could only be greenlit by a cabinet minister within the UPA government, not by intelligence bureaucrats.

The argument presented demonstrates a catastrophic lack of understanding of Indian polity. This is a transparent attempt to deflect from the severity of the charges. The evidence is airtight, the legal trajectory is clear, and he is fully aware that he faces the ultimate consequence under the law.

For all I know, MOTABHAI will ensure that he's alive to see PoK integrated with J&K. Post which he will be spending his last days in solitary confinement forever.

India was always celebrated as having a modern culture in terms of Electoral Democracy shared with USA. That became basis for US-India thaw during UPA-I & II. But when Hindu political expressions started dominating, V-DEM ranks India as an 'autocracy' or a 'flawed democracy'.

Dharma & Democracy: Everyone Must Read Salvatore Babones Book, "Democracy with Dharma". Book exposes V-DEM democracy rankings that lazily describe India's democracy as sliding into autocracy when it's never been more vibrant

Indians criticize Ethanol Barons failing to realize they will generate jobs and employment within the country. Every country needs elites to guide markets. Instead they are happy sucking Arab oil and then complaining why exchange rate is falling.

TIL right to fair hearing can be omitted when concerns of national security are involved. Who decides what is a matter of national security? Those in charge of national security.

So all the leftist librandu arguments about lack of right of fair hearing or representation or procedural lapses not being followed in the case of prosecution of terrorists can be answered back with this. Sublime Software v. Union of India.

This was not a scam in as much as sheer bureaucratic incompetence in evaluating tenders, auditing the smart meter technology, and lack of phased and planned deployment of the upgrade. Smart governance continues to be a dream in UP

Yati Narsinghanand Asks to be provided a new territory without any presence of any Islamist places of worship. Can we create two new states in the country? One Hindu-Pradesh and the other a Muslim Pradesh with 100% homogenous population?

Why The Islamic World Is Getting STUPID. Argument is that Brain Drain of highly skilled people from Islamic countries to Developed Countries is behind rising stupidity.

Same argument could be said for India. A record number of highly skilled people are leaving India.

First Imperialist and Colonialist West exploited East.

West benefiting from improved economy now that improved economy is becoming basis for attracting the better ones from East.

West constructed its better institutions on the basis of imperialistic exploitation, and now they have a starting advantage which is proving attractive for the highly skilled workers from the developing world.

How can any right thinking person from the Eastern world with any sense of history, justice and fairness think of contributing to the West - the very same machinery that exploited his country?

While chaos and conflicts in the developing countries convince people that there is no hope in the future, how can they ignore the fact that the chaos and conflict is directly a result of the centuries of exploitation caused by invaders and imperialistic forces?

Don't people causing brain drain have any sense of responsibility to their country? How mercantilistic and mechanistic their personalities would be if they can only think in terms of the lifestyle comforts they are getting.

These people have no interest in working for the nation. No sense of correcting the injustice. Working only for their own selves. No grand narratives for them. Just their own personal little life.

The Americans are being a pain in the ass. Allegedly after meeting Sergio Gor, TVK referred to Central government as Indian Government. This is wrong on so many levels. This is playing with Indian constitutional framework.

If Dharmendra Pradhan was responsible for NEET leak, then shouldn't he be congratulated with a BIG WELL DONE for ensuring successfully conducting RE-NEET without any leakages under tight security.

Congratulations must be given. We don't celebrate BJP victories enough as a result the nalli opposition gets to create issues / muck senselessly without any kind of rationalistic restraint.

If Pradhan can be criticized for the leakages, then he must also be congratulated for ensuring RE-NEET in record time without any leakages.

Pradhan must also be congratulated for taking the bold step to cancel the previous NEET to ensure that the culprits do not succeed even if collectively everyone had to suffer.

That's ensuring equality of opportunity for everyone because if NEET had not been cancelled then the corrupt candidates could have sailed through on the back of leaked papers. Preventing that was important.

Unfortunately, few children committed suicide. These children were perhaps unsuitable to be doctors in the first place if they are so impatient with any process in life. Suicide was rightly criminalized but softy softy empathetic generation has decriminalized suicide also. Now it's a mental health issue - when in fact committing suicide is actually a final act of courage that transcends any of the soc called mental weakness allegations.

Why do some Hindus say BJP is not a Hindu Party? List out the reasons why you think BJP is not a Hindu party. I will try to explain the constitutional or legal limitations that BJP faces in doing what is required to make it a 'Hindu party' in your estimate.

Accepted that there is overlap between Hindu nationalism and Indian nationalism, but also understand that the BJP can function only within that overlap as it is limited by Constitution's secular framework which cannot be pushed beyond a limit.

No where in the world can it ever be accepted that any section of people be treated as second class citizens on the basis of their identity related to sex, religion, caste, place of birth (Article 15). If you think BJP is not a Hindu party because it has not made any section of people second-class, then you can kiss your dream good bye because that's not going to happen anywhere in the world except places like perhaps Iran, Palestine or Afghanistan.

BJP's Ministers are perhaps finding it a challenge to enrich and empower their public communications that the youth can find relatable. Vote for making Raghav Chadha as BJP's Youth Face and to work on BJP's layer of political operators

https://swarajyamag.com/politics/why-modis-ministers-need-a-political-operator-class

Raghav Chadha is an excellent example of a politician who has successfully leveraged the power of youth connect. His strategic thinking and focus on youth engagement have made him a crucial asset to his political organization. This dedication to mobilizing the younger generation has had a significant impact on recent electoral outcomes and has shaped his party's future strategy. He has been instrumental in organizing youth wings, leading campaigns, and using social media to reach younger demographics. His ability to connect with young people on a personal level and inspire them to action has been a key factor in his political success. His story serves as an inspiration to young people across the country, showing them that they can make a real difference in the political landscape.

Dharmendra Pradhan had a good chance to win trust back, but he busted it by trying to shut down criticism by using the term 'Terrorists' to refer to NEET Protestors. He can't ignore parents and students concerns. He could have shown some empathy, but he brazened it out.

BJP's ministers need a layer of political operators who can inform, influence, condition and guide them on giving sound-bytes to the press. They can't brazen it out like that which is going to make it embarassing for their vote bank to defend them in public. Public will read these as signals to sense a change in tide in the public mood.

BJP must not take it for granted to let its ministers say anything without filters. BJP's ministers are supposed to showcase themselves as leaders and reorient public mindset to an elevated way of thinking. They can't be commenting like ordinary internet users on reddit or instagram.
