For defending Christian Dalits, influencer argues 'caste' and 'religion' are different. Then why is Hinduism as a religion blamed for 'caste' if even after conversion one does not lose 'caste'?

Leftist social justice thinkers are beautifully contradicting themselves now.

To defend right of reservation for Christian and Muslim OBCs and SCs, influencer argues people do not lose their caste even after conversion because caste is different religion is different.

If that be so, then why Hinduism is blamed for caste system? Isn't religion and caste supposed to be different? That itself makes it clear that Hinduism is not a religion like how Christianity is. Hinduism is a way of life. You can't change your way of life, and that's the claim being used to suggest that one does not lose 'caste' even after converting to Christianity.

If caste and religion are different, then either these people have to accept it's wrong to blame 'Hinduism' as a religion that sanctioned the caste system, or they have to accept that Hinduism is not a religion in the first place (because it's a way of life that described society instead of prescribing religious conduct).

In reality, 'religions' are about having a spiritual experience, but 'a way of life' has nothing to do with religious or spiritual experience. It's just living life and picking your career/role as per your inner personality traits. If you are intellectual you do intellectual work. If you are physically strong, you do work in the military/law enforcement. If you love money, you trade or do business or play stock markets. If you are an artisan/artist/labourer - then you pick a craft. So on and so forth. How can there be a 'religious' or 'spiritual experience' here?

Shows Hinduism is not a religion like Christianity or Islam.

But if you still want to say Hinduism is a religion, and then say convert to Christianity does not lose their caste, then have they really converted into Christianity? What use is there to even do the conversion if caste is not erased?

Does this mean 'annihilation of caste' is a stupid idea?

Why did the current gov banned the movie satluj? What conspiracy is going on? Why they are so bothered?

From what I know, the film is based on the life of Jaswant Singh Khalra and depicts events that took place during the 1990s, when Congress governments were in power. If that’s the case, why has the film continued to face certification issues and other hurdles under the current BJP-led government? Why is the current govt is reluctant too? Am i missing something?

When will the world realize the problem?

What's stopping the world from acknowledging the problem?

Lack of history?

Lack of a defining movement between those impacted and affected by Islamist violence?

It seems the world is waking up slowly, but then that kind of awakening seems to be there only on social media and not in official policy.

How would you justify the present government?

This is an honest and curious post I want to make. I want to ask, with being as objective and as bias free of my own political inclination, what is the justification for current government.

  1. Flagship ayodhya temple is corrupt (Modiji personally chose who would be in the trust also the trust is outside the scope of RTI as its an "Autonomous" body even after being constructed by the govt.)
  2. The fuel i use kills me (LPG is expensive, for E20 we just dont have any infrastructure, E20 move was like demonetization for vehicles but with slower and equally deadlier effects.)
  3. I am a Hindu and I have never felt this disgusted by the state of Hinduism this government has brought it into (I miss the purity of my culture that i used to feel back in the days).
  4. My city is hot, my water is dry and I see modiji looking at me from a 100m high billboard.
  5. I cant buy land, its too expensive, average salary of an entry level engineer is lower than claude subscription.
  6. My son cant give exams because they leak, UPSC is a big scam.
  7. My daughter has to carry a pepper spray whenever she goes out anywhere.
  8. Public transport, while I genuinely think delhi metro is in all sense, world-class, throughout other BJP ruled states the situation is far more difficult.
  9. We dont even have a global presence, we can't take decisions without trump's approval and even after trump literally said on tv that they funded indian elections to get a favourable leader for themselves, none from the country would take their own stance.
  10. I cant even recharge my phone without breaking my bank. (TRAI Literally has one job)

So I want to know, Why should the BJP stay.

Please don't type out NPC type reasons "modi nahi to kaun". anybody who paid attention in their civics class knows democracy is about change and not about finding the best, this fear of change brings accountability, which in all sense lacking in the country.

Second I want this discourse to be purely about the party in power. they have been hear for 12 years now. 12 years is a lot and I MEAN A LOT of time to bring any change (Japan went from Hiroshima to Olympics in 19 years) If you still blame old governance for issues of 2026, buddy you need some critical thinking skills.

So what is your reason to defend BJP. Please take this post as a curious guy trying to under if the grass is actually greener on the other side. Hope to have one civil corner in a country of chaos here, Cheers!

No, Antony, that does not mean Hinduism is less than a bag of rice. Hinduism is a way of life that is priceless, but it is Christianity that equated itself to a bag of rice. A religion that sells itself is a 'movement' not a religion.

Christianity is a people's movement that suggests people change their ways of thinking, beliefs and personalities based on a selective reading of history.

Any religion that converts people actually suppresses and oppresses their thinking abilities and the inherent 'seeker' in every individual that yearns for truth.

A movement on the other hand comes with its 'program', its 'propaganda' and its systematic design with which reality should be approached and interpreted. A movement sells its ideas and ideals to others and intends to 'recruit' followers to help and expand the movement.

In reality Christianity is just a movement with a price tag for membership. Hinduism is about a way of life. No one can be recruited into a 'way of life'. You are just as you are and you can be what you want to be based on your actions and the fruits of your actions.

Does one have to be a religious Hindu to talk about political matters concerning Hindus? Savarkar's many views do not align well with staunch followers of Sanatana Dharma, but Sankaracharyas are not politically knowledgeable to speak on political matters

Should Hindus have some sort of upadhi based on being a learned master of some scripture before they can represent Hinduism at the political front?

Sankaracharyas are largely ignorant of political sciences and often do not have the diplomatic tact to speak on religious and political matters of the day.

So who is in a position to speak for Hindus?

If you are participating in this thread, why do you think you are qualified to speak for Hinduism? Do you know Hinduism deeply enough yourself?

Do you have a roadmap for the future? Do you have a vision for HInduism?

Can you say you can build a roadmap or a vision for HInduism if you don't know Hinduism deeply enough?

How much important is it for you to know about criticism of Hinduism to be able to defend Hinduism against common criticisms that are levelled against Hinduism?

Islam is a xenophobic religion, but it's xenophobia is rarely contested. Contesting religions has become fashionable for the leftists but leftists do not contest Islam's xenophobia. Islam is used as an ally and not an equal target like other religions.

Islam teaches its followers to hate the kaafir, to kill them. Islam teachers its followers to ensure Islam prevails over other systems including democracies. Islam teaches its followers to enslave others if they are caught in a war with Islam, but does not clarify whether they can do that when they are attacked or when they are provoked to attack. There is a difference between the two. If muslims persistently harass Hindus and then when Hindus retaliate, Islamist clergy would define even that as a war like situation while disregarding that retaliation happened because of provocations from muslims.

Leftists see Islamists as an ally because they view Islam as an ideology against colonialism but because of Islam's censorship of any speech criticizing Islam, leftists rarely target Islam's own colonialism and xenophobia. Hating other cultures, religions, thought systems, governance systems just because they are not part of Islam. Telling Islam's followers to not make friends with non-muslims. Telling them to not participate in the religions and festivals of non-muslims. These are examples of racist prejudices for people who do not think the same as Islam. This is nothing but xenophobia.

And then they say we have a phobia

A video from inside Masjid al-Haram shows Indian pilgrims allegedly offering a dua praying for the RSS to be "finished" and the BJP to lose. The clip has reignited debate over religious subsidies funded by Indian taxpayers, with critics questioning the use of public resources for prayers targeting RSS and the BJP.

Which Left-Wing Opinion About India Do You Disagree With the Most?

What's the most L-wing opinion about Indian history that you disagree with? Mine would be that Indian rulers were worse than foreign rulers and invaders. What would be yours?

Now posting in this sub gets you banned in other subs

I was banned from bharat4you. why? cause I posted in this sub. Wtf is that bro. Are these mods even indian tho. I'm fed up with reddit filled with these pretendders who pretend to be Indians but are not .

u/KaleshKartaHu_BC — 4 days ago

Piers Morgan is a Pos.

So why is this relevant to this sub, since the horrific grooming gang scandal happened in the UK? Because of the South Asian narrative they are peddling. Towards the end of the video Dr. Gad Saad says there are no Hindu grooming gangs but that is something people rarely mention.

We are not South Asians. We are INDIANS.

And we REALLY need better PR.

Proof why Ambedkar criticized Gandhian methods. While Gandhi had right justification, his methods can be adopted even by evil forces to rationalize their xenophobia. That's why institutional method is the best method

See how Islamists are camping like a protest. CJP is also doing that.

Islamists are advocating for voluntary arrest to emphasise their 'satyagraha'. Sonam Wangchuk is on hunger strike.

Such styles of protest attract human sympathy, but today we have seen how identity is exploited to weaponize sympathy against people.

Therefore such kind of 'dramatic' methods no longer have a place in today's world where we have our destinies in our own hand without any colonizers or oppressors.

E20 Fuel: Progress or Punishment??

On May 16, 2014:

Crude - $107.49/barrel

Petrol price - ₹71 per litre (0% Ethanol) in Mumbai.

Dollar/Rupee exchange rate: ₹58.76

On 2 July, 2026:

Crude - ~$70/barrel

Petrol price - ~ ₹170 per litre (XP100 petrol with 0% Ethanol)

Dollar/Rupee exchange rate: ₹95.25

In short:

Crude prices dipped by 35%

Exchange rate jumped by 62%

But to get an Ethanol-free petrol the premium you have to pay is a whopping 140%.

Proof:

Of course the comparison is not even as the petrol considered in 2014 is normal fuel & not an 100 octane boosted fuel that's used in high-end cars & superbikes. But has the government left you with any other option if you need an Ethanol-free petrol? No choices.

Even the bhookha-nanga desh is faring better than us.

And competitor China, with 10% Ethanol blending is cheaper than us.

Data as per Google Gemini as on 2nd July, 2026.

Executive Director of Biofuels, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Anurag Saraogi is himself accepting -

>"…ethanol has a lower mileage. It has 30% less mileage in the chemical form..."

Video source:

ANI deleted the video. Video posted below.

30% was the calorific value they are saying now.

If it was that simple, why delete the video?

If believed, calories decide the output, so 30% less output?

If it doesn't interpret like that, then explain this-

30% of 20% is 6%, which is the exact mileage drop figure cited by NITI Aayog.

Observe this:

On 13th June, Gadkari ji announces policy for 100% Ethanol signed last night (12th June).

On June 4, Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R launched while deliveries commenced on June 17.

Such breakneck speed collaboration between government & automobile companies.

From na khaaunga, na khaane dunga, To kya hua, tera waada?

Barring Delhi where there is a 10 & 15 year cap on usage of petrol & diesel vehicles, rest of India has a limit of 20 years. While the last private BS3 petrol vehicle end of life is 2030 & BS4 being 2040, are these new fuels compatible with the cars bought then? Has the government thought of the common man before rolling out these schemes & chest thumping of achieving E20 targets before time? Are you left with a choice? No.

Then there's another loophole which people aren't aware -

The 20 years of end of life usage on BS3 & BS4 vehicles is subject to fitness certificate. What fitness will you pass when the fuel is incompatible with the make?

Result - buy a new compatible car or move to EV, either way making the automobile lobby happy.

Last year in August, Supreme Court refused to put a blanket ban on seizures/penalties on old cars crossing the end of life provided they are well maintained. The order perfectly sits with government's E20 fuel push on these vehicles & the above stated outcome.

There is no escaping. There is no relief for the common man. No options. Buy a car & add to the "booming economy" number which shows X thousand cars sold this year. What else is the common man supposed to do than putting in lakhs for a 10-15 year usage & pray there is no eccentric minister occupying the high chair who would change the policy mid-way.

To summarize, dear common-man, stop cribbing & do the following :

If E20 fuel isn't getting rolled back? Buy new car.

If air around you is polluted? Buy a purifier.

If water coming to your home is dirty? Buy R.O.

If footpaths don't exist to walk, roads riddled with potholes & water logging, green spaces vanished in concrete jungle town planning & crimes making your basic living untenable? Buy a home in a premium gated society.

If schools are bad? Pay exorbitant private school fees.

If electricity problem? Buy inverter.

If cooking gas is expensive? Buy an induction.

Can't you do these simple things which are so important for Atmanirbhar Bharat & for your own betterment? And please while doing the above make sure it's all make-in-India. No buying cheap Chinese goods. Live on increased EMIs, mortgage yourself but, don't compromise on nationalism. And do everything in white. Pay GST on already TDS taxed salary to keep the circular-economy thriving.

The above may appear satire but is the ground sentiment of common man. This government tasted 240 despite building Ram Mandir. There was 0 effect of it. It has a serious risk of falling even below that if it continues with its one-upmanship policies, completely oblivious to hardships of the common man.

Even if it pounds Pakistan in a war now & declares elections, there are high chances it might go below 240. Beyond nationalism (on which it scores an 11/10) the perception has turned terribly negative on ground. Upto them whether to mend ways & improve. Else, India Shining 2.0.
