Some Pakistani Hindus Change or Adapt Their Names Due to Discrimination — What Does This Mean for Religious Identity?

What's your view on this

Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari recently referred to Pakistan's Hindu population as ‘3–4%’ and said Muslims ‘tolerate’ them. His wording has sparked criticism, particularly because Pakistan's 2023 census records Hindus at about 2.17%. HMPO believes statements concerning religious minorities should be examined carefully and discussed through verified evidence and lawful advocacy

HMPO — Hindu Minority Protection Organisation

I have an idea for a community called Hindu Minority Protection Organisation (HMPO).

The purpose of HMPO would be to support and protect Hindus living as minorities outside India and Nepal when they face religious discrimination, violence, persecution, displacement, or violations of their basic rights.

What HMPO would do

- ⚖️ Support lawful legal action and connect victims with legal assistance.

- 📑 Document and verify cases of discrimination or persecution.

- 🌍 Advocate peacefully with governments and international human-rights institutions.

- 🛕 Help preserve Hindu temples, cultural heritage, and traditions.

- 🆘 Support vulnerable Hindu communities through lawful humanitarian assistance.

- 📚 Spread awareness about the rights and challenges of Hindu minorities.

Our principles

Dharma • Compassion • Integrity • Unity • Non-Violence

HMPO would never promote violence, hatred, or collective blame against another religion. The goal is protection and justice through evidence, law, diplomacy, and peaceful advocacy.

This is only the beginning of an idea. I'd like to hear what people think:

Would you support a community dedicated to peacefully and legally protecting the rights of Hindu minorities around the world?

Protect • Preserve • Empower 🕉️
