I am curious about the range of experiences women in perimenopause have concerning alcohol… my ability to process it has greatly diminished, although my desire to consume it is consistent with drinking in my 30’s. I’m considering going cold turkey with the way it’s disrupted my sleep and my gut. How has your experience been?
Post this last presidential election, I cut off relationships with friends who didn’t share similar values, and as I am in a deep red state, many women closely align with patriarchal thinking, or at least publicly. (An example: A very close friend took my abortion pills then turned around and voted to make it impossible for other women to get them). For those of you who kept friendships with women who don’t share common values, how do you navigate those friendships? Do you find the friendships more surface level?
Has anyone had experience with this? This is something I’ve noticed time and time again. The man will cheat, and the woman does everything in her power to project to the world that they are doing great — the family is intact. What is really going on in her mind?
