Starting My HRT Journey
I'm 62, fully in menopause (not peri — I think that distinction matters), and I've been on Zepbound for a few months now. I was already using estriol cream from Alloy, but last week I finally started the estradiol patch (DOTTI .05mg) and progesterone 100mg at night.
So yeah — I'm officially running the Triple Stack. Zepbound + HRT patch + progesterone. At 62. All at the same time.
The patch. Day 1, I didn't feel much. However, the progesterone is making me feel groggy when I wake up this first week.
Zepbound + HRT interaction. I've seen people mention that estrogen can potentiate GLP-1 effects. I don't know if that's what's happening, but my appetite suppression feels noticeably stronger this week. Could be coincidence. I'm tracking everything so I'll know in a few weeks.
What I'm scared of: Honestly? That this is all going to work and then I'm going to have to figure out who I am when I'm not fighting my own body every single day. That sounds dramatic but I think some of you will know exactly what I mean.
I'm tracking my weight, body composition, and scoring 4 symptoms (sleep, joint pain, hot flashes, energy) every week. Happy to share the real numbers as this unfolds if anyone wants to follow along.
If you're over 60 and doing this combo — I'd love to hear your experience. The community here has been more helpful than any of my doctors, and I'm not even exaggerating.
