Find it fascinating to compare the appearance of a traditional Burmese Ruby with one from Mozambique. The Burmese Ruby on top has a vivid bright red glow and noticeable cloud which is common for Burmese gemstones. The Mozambique Ruby also has a very nice colour but the red tends to be slightly darker and a little orange-brown in appearance while having excellent clarity. Personally I love the Burmese Ruby more with its pure red colour though it’s clarity and cut is not as ideal as the other Ruby 😊

Sometimes our customers inspire us with their whimsical imagination to create something truly unique! Our client wanted a Sri Lankan Star Ruby and Padparadscha set into the same ring. The design team at Careems suggested a rose gold setting and kept the ring design minimal with rounded bands encapsulating the two beautiful gemstones ✨
