I got tired of screenshotting YouTube thumbnails, so I made a tiny free tool

When researching thumbnails, I kept doing the same annoying process:

Open YouTube
Screenshot the thumbnail
Crop it
Save it
Rename it

So I built a simple tool where you paste a YouTube URL and instantly get the thumbnail in HD.

It also shows the thumbnail's dimensions, aspect ratio and file format.

I'm curious: what other thumbnail research features would actually be useful to you?

I was doing thumbnail research for YouTube videos and kept running into the same annoying thing: I wanted to save a thumbnail, but didn't want to screenshot the video, crop it, rename it, etc.

So I made a really simple tool that grabs the thumbnail directly from a YouTube URL:
