Trying to find a new name for a character
Hi! Have been scrolling through all relevant posts to my weirdly specific situation and hoping to maybe get some more ideas!
I have a siren character (the flying kind) in a Greek-themed dnd game named Phoenix. Recently found out this was not his birth name and in fact is the name given to him by the abuser that raised him and, since he doesn't remember his birth name and she won't tell him, I'm trying to come up with an alternative new name.
I like the ideas of rebirth with the name Phoenix, as well as freedom since that's what he's been fighting for, and general fantasy-Greek-esque names that have to do with monsters, dragons, or nature since he's a hunter. My list so far is:
Priam - redeemed Neo - New Orion - hunter Euodos - freedom Python - dragon, serpent Cadmus - dragon slayer Andreas - manly Aetius - eagle Ari - bird
I like these names, but I'm not in love with any of them... They don't necessarily have to be Greek in origin, I've just mostly been looking at Greek names to narrow my search. Any help would be amazingly appreciated!
